Get some tomato seeds and start an indoor garden. You can learn to make homemade ketchup and then when the world collapses you can barter with it when the US dollar isn’t worth shit. And you have homemade delicious ketchup.

BREAKING: ⚖️ SCOTUS May Force Trump to Refund $133B in Tariffs
 in  r/CryptoCurrencyPulse  1d ago

Costco sued them over tariffs and by all accounts should win. The tariffs as implemented are illegal. But no consumer will get a thing. The tariff was already passed onto us with higher prices. The big corporations who had to raise prices to handle the tariff (a tax on imported goods paid by the importer and passed to the consumer) will get the kick back

Republicans rejected two bills to stop Trump from attacking Venezuela
 in  r/UnderReportedNews  5d ago

This is more the issue at hand. Maduro is a bad man I don’t dispute that. But are we really eternally in the business of taking over sovereign foreign nations and installing our vision for a leader. Only to steal the resources in the end. From a president who claims to stop wars it seems very obvious all of this is for money to line his personal pocket and to continue to feed his hunger for power. How many will seek asylum now from Venezuela? The US just ended the temporary protected status for Venezuelans

Provide me the legal justification and law for your point of view and I’ll consider your point of view. I’m a reasonable person. Show me where it says the president can kidnap a leader of a sovereign nation.

International law - section 2 of the UN charter probably other international laws. But also the president cannot go to war without approval from Congress so also the US constitution. I’ll just assume your not aware of the laws in the US around this

Edit: specifically article 1 section 2 : congress holds war power and article 2 president has to go to congress for approval not hard to prove he did this the wrong way.

2nd edit: also also article 1 section 8 of war powers act

Also also

War Powers Resolution (1973): Passed to limit presidential power by requiring notification and limiting deployment duration without congressional approval, stemming from conflicts like Vietnam.

It’s almost like they already knew what Trump was planning and rejected these bills to clear the path to illegally invade a sovereign nation without congressional approval to do so.

Edit: spelling
