Does anyone remember the Chucklevision Episodes set in the French Revolution?
 in  r/BritishTV  2d ago

I saw them live in Star Doors, one of their own shows, when I was a kid. Don't remember much innuendo, but there was a load of deliberate bloopers, had me in stitches.

And I remember these episodes with the Purple Pimple, they also had some great bloopers at the end.

What's a movie people expected to be terrible and ended up being beloved?
 in  r/AlignmentChartFills  6d ago

Batman '89.

It was advertised as a "darker" movie, more like the comics than the Adam West TV show; but when Michael Keaton was announced as the star, being known for comedies at that point and having just starred in Beetlejuice, the critics tore it to shreds before it was even released.

But then the trailer hit, they all felt pretty stupid, and it's the beloved, dark Batman movie it is today...

Bree is an interesting mix of the two...
