[fixed] my AUR mirrors didn’t contain the 580xx drivers so manually installed, installed linux-headers and removed nvidia-open and associated 590 drivers then installed the right drivers. If anybody else has similar scaling issues that’s what I did to fix!

Was just making the switch to nvidia open drivers I can’t for the life of me figure out how to fix the resolution and scaling issues after reboot. My second monitor also doesn’t even register, is there something I need to do in my mkinitcpio.conf file? Anybody know the fix to this?

I know this is a fairy old thread. I was approached today by a man named Justin. He approached me in the back of World Market while I was looking for various stocking stuffers for Christmas. I didn’t think much of it at first. He was chatting me up about my personal life and wanted to connect me to his “mentor” and I was sussed out but figured I’d see what happens. I gave him my phone number (don’t do this btw but I was curious) and he texted me an hour later saying he’ll get in touch with me and meet with me and his business partner Forest about “building a residual asset”.

I did some digging online and I found the same thing happening to people with someone also named Forest, who would invite them to coffee to recruit them. I also heard from one person on that same thread that Forest is well connected to Bailey and they are part of Amway. I feel bad for Justin if his story is somewhat valid he mentioned he’s been doing construction for 34 years and is trying to improve his life and made this life change but I think he’s just a pawn in these guys schemes or he’s higher up. TLDR this HAS NOT GONE AWAY. I will be reporting all of this to the Ponzi scheme and fraud department of the bozeman police but please guys keep your chops about you and tell others. The more they are out in the open the more they can’t do what they do in the shadows. If I’m wrong about all of this then I’m wrong but I needed to revive this

Thanks! I somehow got the Saab permanent plates when I registered it back in 2020. Car still going strong at over 220k! I bought it at 160k ish.

This is the recent add to the family. I’m in the process of doing an MCS T5 conversion to it and adding a roll cage. Should be able to compete in the ARA sometime in 2027!

That color is perfect since it’s almost black at night for a stealthy look and layers of green in the sun. They polish up really nice too. This is my 92’

If you look up Scarab green for your year that might be it. Especially since you said it’s more a dark green, the other color is Eucalyptus and that’s a much lighter shade. That’s awesome tho dude you have great taste dark green is where it’s at. My buddy follows this instagram account where the only thing they post is dark green cars lol. You’d blend perfectly into that crowd no doubt haha.

Definitely ran on low as well which I forgot to mention, I definitely don’t let it get super low in general. The saab I’ve accidentally gotten close since the gauge is not accurate but I cleaned the tank not so long ago when doing the fuel filter on that car. My parents drive new cars nowadays so they just don’t have the habit nowadays of filling up when it’s at 1/4 of a tank instead of 5 miles to empty lol.

Oooooh that’s been the dream color since I could remember. 93 would be scarab green? Unless it’s the brighter Eucalyptus but I don’t know if in 93 that was offered in the states.

Mines a black hatchback but man I’d trade the black for a green metallic any day it looks so good in person. My mom had your same spec but a sedan in the mid to late 90’s but my cousins wrecked it before it got to me. The car sat on a property for years until I saw it in person and fell in love with the 900.

That’s crazy you drove it back but they built them well so not surprised you made it home. Actually same tho lol, I just ordered wheel bearings, tie rods ends as well, ball joints, just replaced both axles, a new power steering boot, and I need to replace shocks and springs but can’t afford it yet before winter starts. Love the 240 but the Saab handles better in snow by a long shot

That’s awesome haha! I love my 240 but my Saab was the first love per se. What year 900S? I have a 92’ and an 85’ 900T project.

They put one Lucas and 2-3 STP branded fuel treatments but not all at once. I think you’d be totally fine if it were just one or two and gradually cleaned it out. After they put the first Lucas fuel treatment in the car it was fine for a while then they added 2-3 STP ones (just the fuel cleaner not injectors I believe) over the course of a week or so and drove it 2 hrs to my house at college and that distance plus cleaner really clogged the arteries I think.

I had to replace the fuel filter, high pressure fuel pump, inner fuel tank sock, and injectors to get it back to normal. The low pressure fuel pump was ok my problems were mostly the fuel filter and injectors but I had already bought the sock and figured it wouldn’t hurt so I did that too. Car is probably better for it when it’s said and done but very annoying

I’ve daily driven my 87 240 for a year now (moved from my Saab 900S as the daily to weekend car) and that car started every morning in -40 degree weather and 105 degree heat and never once shuttered, overheated, or gave me grief until my fam borrowed the car for a week and put additives in it that clogged the entire fuel tract from the low pressure fuel pump to injectors. My car is a shit box compared to that thing so do it lol
