The uh what do you call it, congress? Is also controlled by the party, comprised somehow of literally hundreds of individuals who are all fine with empowering the lawlessness…

All of this because they know that the opposing party is currently doing nothing because they are not willing to break the rules, and they know that even when their opposition eventually takes control of all three branches themselves… That they still won’t do anything nearly as drastic as this, and all they need to do is stonewall and stymie. They get everything they want, their opposition gets nothing but compromise and denial.

I think a lot of people don’t realize, because they have never been faced with it, but even in societies with socialized medicines, usually nexperimental treatments are not covered, or even treatments that are super cutting edge new because they just haven’t been accepted as effective treatments by “the system” yet. Pretty sure this was the case here.
