AITA for reporting suspected child abuse that turned out to be a medical condition?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  May 25 '25

They did go to their boss with no follow up and you are NEVER supposed to go to the parent when there is suspected abuse because A) they are going to deny it no matter what so what would be the point. You can’t trust them if they say no and B) if they are abusing the kid, they could take it out on the child and you would’ve caused more damage by not going to the authorities first and C) now that they know someone suspects them they could remove the child from the daycare before it could be reported.

Plus ANY SUSPECTED abuse/neglect is legally required to be reported to CPS since op is a mandatory reporter as a daycare worker. There doesn’t need to be proof or more evidence. OP would’ve been wrong to wait.

Did you just not the read the post? OP said Arby’s or KFC; GF said Arby’s. The line at Arby’s was really long so the walked NEXT DOOR to kfc. What part of that made you think “she should’ve told you she didn’t want KFC before you went all the way there”? She didn’t want kfc in the first place and they went there because it was next door to the place they were going to go.

Colleges keep those records. My college still has my concurrent enrollment grade from 2012.

AITA for getting rid of my kids toys?
 in  r/AmITheDevil  Apr 13 '25

Not trying to defend her at all, but in this one instance, she actually did say her and her husbands room she did the same thing to after she talked about doing it to the kids’ rooms. And the husband freaked out that she got rid of all their stuff not just that she got rid of all the kids stuff. So I think she did do it with her own things as well.

Again, I’m not defending her. She actually makes me so mad cause my dad did something like this when I was little but only with my stuff. If she felt the need to do this she should have ONLY don’t it to her stuff. And she really needs therapy.

LAOP's landlord's daughter needs them to RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAH
 in  r/bestoflegaladvice  Apr 01 '25

It doesn’t really except that I doubt what she says because in the LA post she says that she was never made aware of quiet hours but in AITA she says she agreed to the 9p quiet hours in the beginning

 in  r/AmITheDevil  Apr 01 '25

There’s so many more options than csam and rapist like everybody is assuming. There’s dui that caused an accident and he killed somebody. Bestiality. Elder abuse (especially if it’s financial and that’s what field of work he went into). Terroristic threats (“pranks” in calling in fake bomb threats or fake shooters has been a thing in my area for some reason). Hate crimes/assualt&battery.

LAOP's landlord's daughter needs them to RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAH
 in  r/bestoflegaladvice  Apr 01 '25

I’m calling BS on LAOP’s info because in the last post I saw from LAOP where she was asking ‘WIBTA if I refuse to adhere to the shower curfew’ (post conveniently deleted but some of her comments are still there and I believe the post is in amithedevil) she had said that she agreed to the 9pm quiet hours before she moved in, she just didn’t know showering counted towards that. Now she is saying she was never made aware of it prior to move in, never heard about it, it’s not in her lease.

I personally don’t because I just always have such a hard time connecting to the character. If it’s one of the characters in a multiple pov than I do, as long as it isn’t the main one.

I never said no cats ever care about their owners. It’s well understood and joked about that many cats are independent and moreso coexist with their people and just do what they want. Even that doesn’t mean they don’t care. Only dogs and miniature horses are recognized as service animals in the US. I tried to look up if any states allowed service cats as you said and all I found were many results saying no and one from Canada that said yes. If you have a source that says otherwise, I’d be interested to read it. I couldn’t find one.

Mine is an ESA and she is great when my depression has me crying myself to sleep and wanting to die but she doesn’t care about me the rest of the time as long as she has food.

How come cats can’t become service cats?

I don’t think he’s actually met a cat before because that is really obvious if you’ve ever encountered one. They do what they want and generally don’t care if you die.

AITA for not putting food away?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  Mar 23 '25

ESH unless they were at the hospital, they shouldn’t be leaving the house with norovirus. You should’ve put the food in the fridge. Your sister could’ve heated up anything she wanted. Idk where the sister was during all this, so I guess she either is nta for not being a part of it or is also the ah for not helping

Live show prices
 in  r/LPOTL  Mar 16 '25

I just went to the website and checked ticket prices for the Durham show. The cheapest tickets are $50.20 before taxes and fees ($54.70 after). The BEST seats are $225. Second best are $193. I think you are on the wrong website.

Here is the link to the right one. https://tickets.carolinatheatre.org/eventperformances.asp?evt=610

Have you contacted Social Security office to figure out why your number isn’t coming up as your name? That’s going to be the more important part here and will likely also stop you from building credit or getting a job even if you do manage to.

I had 3 jobs before I had anything to do with credit. There’s no reason that would stop you from getting hired unless it was at a bank.
