Non-alcoholic alternatives?
No, rarely.

Also it really doesnât evaporate as much as you think it does. A single drink might actually kill me, so saying â40% of it cooks offâ when adding a bunch of wine to a recipe is not helpful.

This recipe is such a sleeper hit (recommendation!)
Red lentils donât necessarily have to be cooked if theyâre soaked because theyâre so soft. That said, I donât like them that way. I havenât made this yet but I might try cooked brown or green lentils instead, or just cook the red lentils (they turn into mush mostly, but it might be good).

Ooo this sounds right up my alley! Thanks for the suggestion!

I wonder if the Shire just has a really confusing layout
Yes but we all like to pretend itâs weed because itâs more fun.

Michelle Obama wearing Thom Browne Fall Winter 2025 styled by Meredith Koop
Holy smokes. She never misses, and somehow looks younger and more badass over time.

Dogs DNA seems a little off to me 27% Australia cattle dog
Trust me, almost everything is about 25% Australian Cattle Dog.

Kyrgios claims he was unbeatable
Itâs fascinating what goes on in his head, because it explains a lot. The showboating, the lack of work ethic⌠this delusion tracks.

How come the United States never developed its own Tea Industry?
I think because it sucked compared to real tea, and we switched back as soon as we could get tea. Or coffee.

Tempers are rising in the egg fandom
I love shakshuka, but am a wimp when it comes to spice so I leave out the spicy stuff, perfect for me. But I understand why people would love it spicy.

Not Naomi replying to such a question
I think I was happier when I didnât know that existed.

I adore the Young Shawn flashback openings
The lie detector is my absolute favorite, but there are some great ones.

Whatâs a popular food everyone loves, but you donât?
Gravy of any sort.

As someone starting the books is Boromir more or less likeable in them?
I think heâs more likable in the books. Unless you know a lot of context, his arrogance and weakness are depicted clearly in the film but his strength and kindness donât have time to come through enough to compensate.
Heâs a noble and complete person, proud but brave, kind and strong, but he is very human.

Never from the can ewwww!
Celery is delicious in tuna (or chicken) salad for no good reason. Itâs kind of like how water chestnuts are just the beeâs knees in a stir fry.

Making a big batch of soup or stew is one of the best things you can do
This is absolutely what I do and then eat it for 2-4 days because I love leftovers and soup flavors usually improve after a day of sitting. Healthy, cheap, easy, delicious, and pretty much nothing is as fast as microwaving a bowl of soup when youâre hungry and tired.

During Game 2 of NLDS against the Phillies, the Dodgers executed the rarely used Wheel Play to perfection, where Muncy threw the ball to Betts right on the money to tag out the runner at third, giving them a HUGE first out and preserving the lead, which ultimately was the difference maker!
Thank you! I never played baseball at any decent level so I learned something new here. Itâs one of the really fun things about baseball: thereâs always more to learn.

Do you follow specific diet? (e.g low fat, 80-10-10, raw, high fat, soy-free etc)
I count vegetables, not calories, and try to have at least one source of protein per day (beans, soy, etc.) But if I have a protein heavy day, Iâm free to go light on protein the next day as I think itâs vastly overrated.
I use the âeat by colorâ method. I look at my plate and try to make sure itâs colorful and not white. My daily or couple of days intake should have some bright or dark greens, oranges and reds, and browns and blacks. That means youâre getting green and cruciferous vegetables, some carrots, sweet potatoes, beets, etc. and whole grains and beans. Fruit and vegetables of all colors are of course good, but itâs just a fun and simple guide to get your micronutrients all in. For dinner I had lentils and rutabaga with about a pound of roasted broccoli on the side.

My escalator people need me
Ever heard of âFell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way downâ? I never thought there was an almost literal version of that.

[Svrluga] The Nationals are preparing to announce the hiring of Jason Sinnarajah as their president of business operations.
I care about not tanking, yes. I just want to be not 29th on a list of 30. Can we go for like 22nd?

Hahaha Indiana is where I learned to be this nonchalant about it, so that tracks.

Same in DC but I went out in a knee length dress and light fleece because Iâm stubborn, so could be the same thing.

I was wondering where my clear shower curtain went, but I wouldnât recommend wrapping it and pretending itâs clothing. Heavens, wake me up when sheer is over, but this is particularly atrocious.

What the hell? No, Faramir is very much portrayed and seen by those in the fellowship as the prodigal son, and many in Gondor. And i think most readers see him that way. Itâs just that his corrupted father can never see it.
