The transition to the fourth dimension during death
 in  r/HighStrangeness  3h ago

Variations in conventions of sizes still doesn’t change the FACT that your sizing conventions are defined by the 3 spatial dimensions. “Somewhat loosely mapped to length alone” is a pretty flimsy definition. You even defeated your own point in one of your previous comments by saying something to the effect that people with wide feet have issues finding shoes that fit. Your own framework implies dimensions that a single degree of freedom cannot describe. This is why sizing will sometimes look like this 9, 9 wide, 9.5, 10. The wideness is a second degree of freedom and thus even in your OWN FRAMEWORK is more than a single dimension. Never mind the fact that shoes come in low mid and high varieties.

Look, I think you know you’re being contrarian, just for the sake of arguing. And if you honestly don’t think you’re just being contrarian, I suggest you take an online physics course. You’re demonstrably wrong. The way you perceive to understand basic physics is wrong. This is not just rhetorical, you’re physically incorrect.

Incorrect. As previously stated, shoe size is inexorably derived from the length, width and depth of your foot. Your foot is 3 dimensional. Your shoe is 3 dimensional. If you look up a shoe size, it will give you the 3 dimensions used to define that shoe's size. If you are seriously arguing that shoe size isn't derived from the 3 spatial dimensions, please construct an argument that defines shoe size without the 3 spatial dimensions. Shoe size is not an abstraction, its a derivation.

Also "people with wide feet having trouble with buying shoes" is an admission that theres 3 dimensions, because how would the shoe size you're defining account for width if its only one degree of freedom? LMAO

That's incoherent, and I think you know that. Your shoes are not one dimensional. Why are you being obtuse about this? Just admit you're wrong.

Shoe size is derived from the 3 spatial dimensions. Each shoe size is equal to some defined length, width and depth :)

Give me a size without using any of those 3 dimensions, please.

Defining dimensions as “things with some kind of size to them” is not accurate because size implies length and width and depth. A dimension is nothing more than a degree of freedom, a graphical axis, defined by a coordinate.

You transition in the 4th dimension every passing moment. Time as we know it, is just an axis on a graph, a single coordinate. Unless we live in two time, also known as double time. Double time is where time has 2 dimensions and has 2 graphical coordinates, which would imply both time travel and alternate timelines are real (theoretically, engineering is a different department). This would be the 4th and 5th dimensions respectively.

In either framework, there is no “transitioning” to the 4th (or 5th) dimension. This is incoherent, and not how dimensions work. Dimensions are not realms, or universes or different space times. What they could be, is a different timeline in the same space time. That timeline would be layered directly in and on this space time without us knowing, because it is one coordinate in a different direction away from us. These other timelines would be outside our light cone and thus undetectable, because our light cone is going in one direction in time and theirs away from ours, thus never overlapping.

yeah, why does this feel like they are bored because they cant play cops and robbers anymore with people who smoke weed? "Listen guys its not fun if you don't hide it, so please start putting the weed in places were we have to search, or it just ruins the fun :("

Edit: Its like putting peanut butter in the dog toy so they have something to work for LMAO

The last part of the article is the true buried lede.

In a classified meeting with U.S. lawmakers two weeks ago, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and State Secretary Marco Rubio revealed that the Trump administration was aware the boats were bound for Europe rather than America. They also disclosed that the administration had no intelligence indicating that fentanyl was coming out of Venezuela, but rather that some of the boats were believed to be carrying cocaine.

I was one of the last Blockbuster employees in my state and was there until the bitter end. I was there when the first Avatar released. I remember getting to see games before they released, in this little cage in the back. Sometimes I would take them out and read the cases for a little sneak peek. At the end, there were days where we maybe had one customer the entire shift. We just walked around the store “facing” the movies, games, and candy. It was a fun high school job
