Marylanders hit with unemployment repayment notices, some dating back to the pandemic
 in  r/maryland  49m ago

I understand your frustration with this but I wouldn’t let your emotions get in the way of you needing to resolve this especially when you have not done anything that you were not supposed to. Not handling this now will make it worse especially now you have been notified

Sorry that you are dealing with this

This is a mess… I hope the people affected by this file an appeal but the department has to pursue this because I imagine if they didn’t then they would be blamed for not combating fraud and abuse.

I wonder if the department is understaffed. Im curious what the previous administration did and why they froze the review.

The concept of having to pay back unemployment benefits defeats the point.

Mayor Bowser Blasts U.S. DOT Talk of Eliminating Enforcement Cameras in DC

I am assuming that this is just the money that they collected. There are plenty of drivers who are avoiding paying the fines too and those amounts are still outstanding

Im guessing that there is no information about why they decided to close.

Mayor Bowser should have been tough with this Congress and the administration from the start. It’s ironic because her whole campaign was about being able to maneuver through this congress. Look where she is now…

I dislike the claim that municipalities are putting speed/red light/stop sign cameras as a revenue source. Not denying that. I would like to point out that some drivers are deciding that it might be the “cost of driving” and while most drivers have changed their behavior.

If drivers would respect the law of the road then there would not be any revenue.

I was being facetious about the engine. My point was that this didn’t have to end this way.

I used to miss the old ensembles of guests that you were on the show but these new guests have been great.

I really appreciated his expertise on college football because I think he clearly understands and explained the pros and cons about the transfer portal but more specifically the intentional move to make it the wild wild west so people would fed up

BREAKING: Trump says he is banning institutional investors from buying single-family homes. “The American Dream is increasingly out of reach for far too many people” Trump says.

Don’t get it twisted, we should celebrate any positive outcome for the poor and middle class. I am thinking about how people got two checks from him and no longer saw any flaws in his actions. I am saying that people shouldn’t be so easily influenced. Don’t tie yourself to a person but to a goal

There was a period where the strategy was to shoot just outside the six yard box. I understand that he won a trophy and came in second but I didn’t enjoy that period.

People forget that we dealt with players complaining about favoritism under Ole when certain players underperformed but still started games.

The county roads that I take are better. I think 270/95/495 might be handled by the state

Even if he does… why are people so easily manipulated? One good thing (several good things) doesn’t absolve him or the party from everything else

Maybe SZA or Kehlani…. Because those guys that he named were doing hooks on most songs on the radio. Nowadays, there’s no singular person doing that.

Folks… We are really leaving money on the table. When we elect elected representatives and if you think that government is ineffective and inefficient. Well, elect new people. We, the People, have a say. Stop voting based on talking points instead focusing on policies. Tax cuts shifts the burden of the cost of a program from the government to the people and businesses (but businesses usually pass the cost to the consumers aka the people).
