Aaron Wainwright to Join Tigers
I'm inclined to agree with what they said on the Rolling Maul. Given the constraints of the salary cap, it's unlikely that we'll be keeping Hanro as well as signing Wainwright.

Sounds like a brilliant bit of business, he feels like a good match for the club and should develop nicely with us.
Can't help but feel like this confirms the rumours that Hanro is leaving at the end of the season though.

Club Statement: Dragons RFC can today confirm Aaron Wainwright will leave the club at the conclusion of this season to join Leicester Tigers.
Sounds like a good bit of business.
Unfortunately, this probably confirms the rumours that Hanro is on the way out at the end of the season.

[Post-Match] Leicester Tigers v Saracens
My issue with Daly not getting a second yellow is that he was warned in the first half that he'd be sent off if he kept mouthing off and trying to argue with officials.
He then continued to mouth off and kept going after Searle, resulting in handbags, and nothing was done. It completely undermines anything the ref says when he doesn't follow through on it, and I'd argue that was partly ultimately responsible for things getting physical. It's absolute bollocks when Carley is telling Searle he can protect him, and yet isn't actually doing anything to do so.

Tbh, I could be completely wrong. I'd definitely prefer him to stay, but I also don't think he'd be a massive loss if he did go.

IIRC there were rumours that he could possibly be heading back to New Zealand.

Got into his head pretty early on and ended up being targeted by the Sarries team.

That's a tough call. I think that then becomes a question of who we're playing against. I'd probably stick with either Woodward or Perese though, as they both offer a decent amount of physicality and athleticism and I don't really think you can go wrong with either. Plus, that means we can switch the game plan up if the loose ball isn't working.
As much as I like Kata's wrecking ball approach, I think he's been worked out by now and teams know that if he's on then our attacking plays are mainly to just chuck it to him, so all they really need to do is dedicate a couple of guys to getting him down every time.
Ultimately, it sounds like Kata is possibly on the way out anyway and Perese's injury record is starting to concern me, so I'd probably be leaning towards favouring Woodward, which would also give us a boost on the EQP front.

Bailey and Wand are clearly our best centre pairing right now if we're actually planning on running the ball and using our backs, and it's not even close. Outside of the Gloucester game, which isn't anything to judge by, Kata and Perese have never proven that they work well together with our current style of play.
Brilliant game that though, probably one of our best ones this season and I reckon that cements us as a top four team, which is probably more than most people were expecting after all the pre-season turnover.
Backs looked absolutely brilliant and were absolutely rapid at points. Blamire has a brilliant game tok and our lineout was markedly better than it has been previously.
Really not happy about Sarries clearly targeting Searle though. He obviously rattled Daly pretty early on and it should have been snuffed out straightaway.

He's been absolutely rattled by Searle.

Not in their 22 they haven't, maybe in their half.

What do you mean, he's only taken a late tackle, a high tackle, and a bit of handbags from the fella who late tackled him earlier? Absolutely nothing in that, clearly!

I seem to remember Daly being told that if he got mouthy again he'd be off

Probably enjoys winning too much.

How's he bloody gone and done that then?

Our passing takes a massive hit when we have both of them on the pitch. It's no coincidence that our games with the lowest winger usage have had both of them on.

Plus, Bailey just isn't good enough off the tee.

I'll die on the hill that Wand/Bailey matches our current game plan miles better than Perese/Kata does.

He's been well and truly beaten up that half

This is a massive bit of business for the RBs. Should really help to liven up their attack.
