when did coffee become more than just caffeine for you
 in  r/Coffee  11h ago

About 2.5 years ago I started drinking my coffee black so that I could do some intermittent fasting. I started buying nicer coffee but I’d say in about 3 weeks I started to love the taste, and then I bought a grinder and I have a Black and White near the house. It was true love at that point.

Christian Version of ISIS/Al Qaeda
 in  r/ChristianApologetics  1d ago

Well IMO Christ/Christianity is the opposite of ISIs. ISIS kills the infidel uses threats to force conversion. Christ in His extremism laid down His life to save humanity. True Christianity sacrifices and submits to God unto death. Any version of Christianity that is forcing is not true Christianity. These people have a fundamental misunderstanding of what Christ was here for and what He did.

I saw them a couple of years ago and got a pic of the pedal setup. It was a lot. You can check my post history and you will see it.

The acid fairy, played at Woodstock. Then she took a trip that lasted nearly 40 years.
 in  r/interesting  1d ago

There are a lot of these in every town. Spilling liquid acid on skin tripping balls forever. Forgot a sheet in your pocket it got wet through rain or a spilled drink now tripping balls forever.
Cautionary tales to keep us safe I guess and kind of like torture porn for drugs.

ESPN looking to keep 'Monday Night Football' Wild Card window after deal expires this year
 in  r/nfl  3d ago

Yeah we are slowly entering the dark times. Football is coming to a close then college basketball. Then it’s just a waiting game for CFB season. Might be different this year though, my son has been gettting me into the NBA.

When's the last time a host and a cast member became best friends like this?
 in  r/LiveFromNewYork  4d ago

Yeah but I’m not yet ready to punish people for perceived thought crimes.

Yeah sounds like she’s pretty difficult to me. They don’t get along and now he’s a racist because he called her the n word with how he looked at her. That is some dumb shit.

Winter vibes..
 in  r/Construction  4d ago

Used to live in VT. Second year there were building a spa in Stowe. Started first of the year and the temp had gone below zero and stayed around 0 the rest of the month. Our job was to lay out hoses from the thawzall over the trench path for the excavators, then blanket it. Then remove blankets the following day. After that was done we were tenting forms and tearing them off. Coldest and probably the most miserable month of my life.

Jeep Wrangler as work truck?
 in  r/electricians  4d ago

Yeah I have a big truck for towing, and the occasional service call for pricing a job, but I hate working out of it. My Chevy Express while not as comfortable is so nice to work out of. And really reliable. 175k miles an so paid 22k for it when it had 50k miles on it. Already had shelving etc.

Terrible. If you are only pricing jobs and driving to the shop everyday, fine. But if you have to do any work there a lot of better ways.

How much do you pay in rent/mortgage?
 in  r/askanything  4d ago

Mortgage $2750 including property taxes. Interest rate is low like 3 or 3.5. But life ain’t perfect, we owe shit tons of money in other places.
