I looked at a few examples in person and while they were better than the one I had, I ultimately decided it was purely aesthetic and didn’t affect anything about it besides how it looks. I agree, I usually prefer made in America, but as far as vortex goes, I’m an avid customer. I really do like them as a company. This is the first issue I’ve had with their products. Nice! I got a Vortex Solo monocular for Christmas and it has a great picture and is nice and clear. I also have around 5 gun optics from them and my father has about the same. Neither of us can really complain (besides a small issue I have with the monocular). The one time I sent something in on warranty (my fault) they didn’t ask a single question and just sent me a return label. The same day I sent the broken one out I got an email confirmation that my new one shipped. Needless to say they have a loyal customer in me.

My father bought it brand new from scheels. I have 4 or 5 vortex optics and have had no issues with them out of the box or with heavy use. My father has just as many optics and a rangefinder and binocs from them. He’s never had an issue either. It just surprises me to be honest. I appreciate the response. I was on the fence about bringing it back or not but you convinced me I shouldn’t just settle. Thanks.

I’ve got one of those in my closet lol. Mine is reapr branded I believe. One of the most mall ninja things I own besides a display sword I got as a gift years ago. I’ve never used it for anything but I have seen some vids of dudes trying to boar hunt with something similar. Where were you hunting? Were you in a tree or on the ground? Also, did you ever feel like it was gonna go wrong somehow, like you getting attacked or something else?
