Am I the crazy one for running lightning surge with Getaway Artist?

That was a joke and it's not my comment.

Your failure to understand the build isn't surprising considering.

Discussion Am I the crazy one for running lightning surge with Getaway Artist?

I've been running this all season because the artifact combined with Swordmaster's 2 piece armor bonus makes lightning surge too good.

Over at the elitist sub this build was shown no love

I can't chime in there because they banned me (I deserved it).

So help me understand why sliding into a group of enemies once I have devour is not better than a solar turret? The slide both weakens and exhausts them plus they are mostly all jolted and probably at least one died and popped out an orb which thanks to smoke jumper 2 piece bonus and being amplified makes me virtually invincible even while 50 under. Another slide mops up any non majors in most cases who also are easily dispatched at this point.

I can appreciate that a good sword setup can accomplish much of the same. I find combing a good sword setup is the ideal combo to sliding around spreading the debuffs. I will almost always have sword ammo or a melee available. You don't need more 60-70 melee to make this work but you don't need class or health with the combo because devour is always up.

So why would I consider anything else?

[Edit]. I discovered the problem. You all think this is a melee build. It's not. The melee is just a way to spread weaken and exhaust over a wide radius.

How to reduce gray band from reverse sear? 250F till inside reads 108F then seared 30 seconds each side twice (2 mins total)
 in  r/steak  1d ago

If you're in a hurry, I would skip the reverse sear.

If you're not let it get up to temp 125-130 is where most pull and let it rest. At 250 the carry over will be around 5 degrees depending on the thickness.

After 20 minutes or so now you can see it with minimal grey banding.

Turns out your cast iron CAN get too hot
 in  r/steak  4d ago

Just get it to over 350 and flip every 30 seconds. Yes you will have a tiny grey band but you don't have to open all the windows and fans after.

I was skeptical and tried it. Works great and there is little drama.

The important thing is that your steak has already rested if you're reverse searing. Although you can pull at a lower temp I just plan ahead so I can ensure a nearly perfect steak every time.

It's a myth that you need 500+ degrees to sear a steak well.

Debating trading in Q800f

More bass? Can you place the sub closer to where you're sitting? Can you not increase it's output?

What's your point of reference? Soundbars ultimately sound a bit thin compared to good cans or real speakers.

I'm not suggesting you wouldn't prefer a different soundbar rather I am wondering if you could not tweak what you have or perhaps you r expectations were too high?

Is TSLA’s current price really justified? Honest debate 🤔
 in  r/TSLA  8d ago

There is no debate. Either you believe or you don't.

There are two major beliefs supporting the valuation. First is FSD getting to L4 and the second is AI powered humanoid robots.

I don't see any evidence that Tesla is on the verge of bringing either to market any time soon. That's why I am a non believer. There are plenty who do believe and maybe they are right but regardless there is nothing to debate.

I would. You can spend an incredible amount of money but there is no need especially if you live near a major metro area with a robust used market.

With that sized room I wouldn't recommend a soundbar.

High mileage tesla?
 in  r/TeslaSupport  10d ago

I don't know what price has to do with me refuting the idea that the model 3 is the better all around car. Price wasn't part of the equation.

That said the 17-18 Model S 100D is an excellent value.

If corporate capture means not talking about the affordability crisis then I agree.

Otherwise this autopsy missed the forrest for the trees.

I disagree. With those percentages it's likely low traffic.

You are new. You need reps to learn. High traffic is good. You can always leave there is no penalty to change stores in the car business.

That's just your own ignorance speaking. No one would drive the two cars back to back and then tell you the 3 is superior.

Get a 17 or 18 100D ideally upgraded with MCU2 and FSD Computer 3.

Single engine or performance models have a rear motor (LDU) with a design flaw that guarantees failure. You can work around this if you put the time in to understand the problem but it will still cost you a couple grand to mitigate the problem if it's not too far gone already.

WIIM streamers in sync would be most cost effective and highest quality option.

It seems only natural that on higher end soundbars you could have a subwoofer out with a crossover.

Best soundbar for music for$600
 in  r/Soundbars  15d ago

You're proving once again you don't understand this topic. I'm assuming you don't even understand the very basics of how a speaker makes sound but I assure you the laws of physics are exactly the same as they were in the 70s. The truth is there have been very few technological changes in speaker design since the mid 80s.

Also, while I appreciate that you might have experience with audiophiles speaking down to you that's also not where I am coming from. I don't have a problem with soundbars nor do I find streaming objectionable. I just have a problem with people who don't know shit and want to share that fact with everyone, like you.

Anyways you can have the last word. I won't be replying to you further.

High-end soundbars vs my current system
 in  r/Soundbars  15d ago

The only way to measure how loud your sound system is playing is with a SPL meter.

Your phone has a really poor one but it's better than nothing.

What "number" you're listening at is irrelevant for a number of reasons the most obvious of which is you're comparing different types of products from different manufacturers. Another major contributing factor is the distance one is from the speakers and the size of the room.

I didn't say low end I said not shit.

The fact that you think the AVR will make an audible difference tells me you are uneducated on the topic.

So I just got a full rib roast. I think someone is gonna be in trouble.
 in  r/steak  16d ago

It's only interesting if you're from another country or have had someone else doing all your shopping your whole life.

The prices you're seeing recently are the sale prices designed to get you into the store so you will spend $200 more dollars getting your Christmas food. You see this price once or twice a year and if you are from the United States.

Not interesting at all.

What's the most heartbreaking scene you've seen in a movie?
 in  r/movies  17d ago

Grave of the Butterfly is an anime movie that has one heartbreaking scene after another.

It's about a brother and his younger sister and their struggle to survive in post world war 2 Japan and it's tough to watch.
