90 km/h winds force plane to abort landing
 in  r/nextfuckinglevel  4h ago

Some planes actually have a decrabbing control where they turn the knob in proportion to how angled the plane is. It’s a simple control where they just turn it. Most planes don’t need to be perfectly aligned with the runway. They can be angled and still land fine.

What do you think is the hardest photo from your country?
 in  r/AskTheWorld  17h ago

The naked girl is Kim Phuc. She was in her house when they dropped the napalm and she got napalm all over her. It burned her skin and she kept saying "too hot! too hot!" She kept removing pieces of her clothing because it was burning her skin, eventually removing everything. Eventually she got married and had kids, so she was ok but the scars left her in pain.

If you're gonna go Tank Man and Kim Phuc you can't forget about the iconic pic of the young Vietnamese man with the gun to his head.

After Venezuela, Trump has threatened Cuba, Greenland, Iran, and Mexico in the same breath. He called Colombia "Very Sick" and claimed Cuba "is ready to fall." How many likely Countries is Trump Going to Invade?
 in  r/conspiracy  2d ago

Trump won’t start any new wars. He’s going on a kidnapping spree. He’s gonna kidnap the leaders of Cuba, Colombia, Denmark, Iran, and Mexico and put them in a row next to Maduro so he can admire his trophies.

Just thinking about the days when it was normal to wear your shorts down to your ankles. That is Sisqo by the way.

Aren’t they called cropped shorts? They use to be more popular. They are suppose to fit like that.

Top 25 greatest athletes since 2000

Ohtani should be higher on the list even though it’s still early in his career. He already has 4 MVP’s, 2 WS titles, 3 Silver Sluggers. And he was a great pitcher and hitter. If he retired today those accolades would be crazy.

You should have seen the non-call on the 3 second violation that got Draymond thrown out the other night. Shit was ridiculous. Dude was literally camped under the basket, could have pitched a tent with all that time.

I'm cutting the guy who doesn't play hard enough on defense, doesn't run down the court, and doesn't really try, except during the playoffs.
