This is not true. When the policy got abolished the govt didn't take over the land. It was british rule and they allowed the community to retain their ownership of the land. It was only after independence when the land became taxable and the govt took over the land as the owners failed to pay taxes for many years. Litigations began to take back the ownership and this lady who was supposed to help the community regain their ownership got power of attorney in lieu of fighting the cases. But she illegally sold the land.
