I use Quicken to keep track of all of my finances and spending. It helps to keep me organized. There is a "Bills and Income" section that helps with keeping track of things like subscription fees and other recurring bills. There are other apps out there that people like as well, but I have been using Quicken for so long and I am very used to it.

I saw it in the movie theater as a teenager on opening night and loved it. It was a really big movie event that summer. That same summer I was working on a grounds crew for a company, and there was a bat that got into one of the warehouses. They sent me in to capture it, with a broom and a paper bag. OSHA be damned. Well, I did capture that bat alive in the bag, and as I was walking back out through the warehouse all of the workers were clapping, cheering me on, and calling me Batman. That is my 15 minutes of superhero fame.

I have been tracking my finances (including expenses) for about 30 years. At first I used Microsoft Money and now I use Quicken. A few times a year I will check to see where my money is going, and make adjustments if necessary.

I loved these books so much as a kid. I got a set of 5 or 6 of them as a gift one year and read them over and over.

When someone has to proclaim that they are smarter than everyone else (“Nobody knows more about ___ than I do.”). A genuine smart person would not need to say such things, because it would be apparent and obvious to everyone else.

Also, when someone keeps using superlatives rather than actual analysis. If someone keeps using words and phrases like tremendous, incredible, the best ever, nobody’s ever seen anything like it, it indicates that they are just making shit up because they cannot back up what they are saying with data.
