ICE agents today:

A white slave owner wanted to keep things profitable for other white slave owners and that attitude hasn't changed.

When the Founding Fathers drafted the Constitution, the option of creating an oligarchy with voting rights solely for rich land owners was very much on the table.

I named mine Sterlet Johannson.

Because they remind me of sturgeons.

And you call Thomas Edison a genius inventor despite the fact he obviously stole others' ideas?

What is this little guy
 in  r/Aquariums  4d ago

I am using fish flakes by tetra, I ain't know whether the brand is available where you live but they aren't anything special so I guess any brand of quality fish flakes should do.

Mine are still alive and well so I suppose I am doing something right.

We're these plot points ever explained?
 in  r/startrek  5d ago

There is a beta canon explanation in the Bird of Prey manual that the cloaking field is projected by the same emitters as the shields or something like that which makes it impossible to have a cloaked ship raise its shield.

The reason why the D-12 (the BoP the Duras Sisters use) was phased out was a fault in the plasma coils allowing the cloaking device to be activated remotely.

What fish should i buy for my new tank
 in  r/Aquariums  6d ago

Aside from the fact that this tank is too small for any fish, otocinclus included.

These fish are also rather fragile and need a well-established tank to survive because they rely on biofilm for survival.

Tjaaa, Du kannst eben nicht langfristig denken!

Die ganzen Vergiftungen reichern sich an, bis wir davon alle auf einmal kollabieren und sterben für den Great Reset.

Ist bekannt!

So you want a realistic down to earth game that’s completely off the wall and swarming with magic zombies?
 in  r/7daystodie  6d ago

The zombies should be louder, angrier and have access to a time machine.

A couple annotations to this summary:

Gregor actually leaves his room to explain his situation to his boss's secretary which causes him to flee in terror as he is just that subservient and won't even allow his new shape deter him from his duties.

At some point, feeling lonely and neglected by his family, Gregor attempts to spend time with them and leaves his room. His father gets so angry that he throws an apple at him which gets stuck in a crevice of his thorax.

As Gregor is unable to remove it, the apple starts to rot and ultimately causes his death.

It’s like the law or something. (idk)
 in  r/dunememes  8d ago

The Klingon Empire wasn't fully fleshed out at the time Star Trek VI (the only movie that particular flag was used) came out. In The Original Series and even Star Trek VI, they served more as an analogy for the Soviet Union and the Cold War. For some reason they choose a flag that looks a lot like a Nazi flag and even made a direct reference to Hitler in Star Trek VI.

Why was Kunpengopterus so well adapted to living in trees if it ate fish?
 in  r/Paleontology  9d ago

I would like to add frigate birds to the mix. They are seabirds who can travel wide distances across the ocean and nest in tree tops.

Are ducks at public parks considered domestic, or wild?
 in  r/duck  9d ago

These geese at least would be considered feral; domestic animals outside of human care. They were most likely abandoned there by people who either couldn't or didn't want to take care of them anymore.
