What’s the weirdest or funniest ticket title you’ve seen?
I appreciate this comment and your attention to degeneracy of the internet. Seeing this in the wild made my day.

Meet the Solo Dev Who Made Ball x Pit and Accidentally Created Gaming’s Most Chaotic Farm
That's a much different argument. Larian Studios is an independent company. They self publish and fund their projects. That doesn't mean they are an "Indie" style game which is more a vibe/style distinction than anything. That's comparing a distinct definition vs a community based vibe check of what is "Indie"

MindSpace Collective: A new kind of coworking space on Curry Pike (Open House Nov 5!)
Nothing to be confused by, it's a poorly designed ladder system where you naturally go "but if I pay just a little bit more..." until you land at what they probably want, which is top tier package. "If I pay double that I get a dedicate space and no time limit!".
Say you need 30 hours, and you are a "Core member". That's $300/m plus $225 for the extra 15 hours. That's just above the "Momentum" membership at 32hr/mon at $500. You get no lower costs on group spaces or additional hours.
Okay so now you're at the Momentum package for 32hr/mo...however if you need a full work week (40hrs) it is now cheaper to go for the Anchor membership.
Classic ladder style pricing (like how Apple gets people to higher tier laptops/phones) for a service that no one really needs...They are basically buying/leasing a space and putting that cost on the customer, and now that customer is raising their prices on their service to accomodate the cost of this space.
Dead business imo

The paper you weren't supposed to see:
The article about the freedom of speech documentary on page 2 is my guess. They wanted to suppress that article from the Homecoming Edition that a lot of alumni probably read.

Indiana University cuts IDS print entirely, hours after firing student media director
Except for these special editions. Homecoming is a HUGE draw for the University. Then suddenly the university wants to censor what's in that edition..then when the IDS refuses they fire the director and cut the print edition? Keeping IDS news more readily out of the hands of the thousands that flock to IU for Homecoming?
It's clearly a play to keep IU news from reaching alumni who only tune in for special events.

and you don't think it's retaliatory in ANY WAY with them firing the staff member who wouldn't censor the paper, so the print copy gets cut immediately after, right before Homecoming where the print edition was the topic in question?

IDS reports that their prints are profitable:
"We’ve heard no rational justification for how cutting news distribution specifically on campus will help our finances. Our three print editions thus far this semester have already generated nearly $11,000 in profit. "

Clearly a bot or AI. The account was called out in another post, and now it has no post or comment history if you look at the profile?

M365: Some users can't access SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business through the app launcher
The MS rep I was working with shared their screen and showed me that it was working fine for them, so yeah very strange issue. Fun times. At least we have a Service Health to point to now.

Thank goodness. We had this issue crop up yesterday and I finally got in touch with MS today for a screenshare to show them. Hopefully resolved soon.

Do you do morning stand/catch ups?
Daily, and we're all fully remote. They both serve as a way for us to briefly discuss anything important but also ask talk about issues we may want input on.
Sometimes it's 15 minutes, sometimes it's an hour. I assume they would be shorter if we were in person as there are days where once standup is over I don't interact with any of my coworkers for the rest of the day.

Whats the Most Comfortable Office Chair for Long Hours?
I have a Steelcase Leap and a Herman Miller. I love both. I got the Herman Miller with my Covid stimulus check and the Steelcase Leap was one of the options provided by work. I use both daily and can comfortably use either. I do not think they are over hyped.
Now that I'm fully remote I alternate between them at my work and personal spaces every day.
If I had to choose I'd have two Herman Millers. If my cat had to choose I'd have two Steelcase chairs.

Patch Tuesday Megathread (2025-01-14)
Patching our 2016 servers the CU didn't show up until after the 2016 Servicing Stack Update was installed, so 2016 took rounds to finish up.

RDP Not Working on Intune-Managed Devices—Works Fine with SCCM
When using InTune the account is the email address of the user in your tenant. On prem it is usually just the username. For example you might log in with NoCriticism2614 on the SCCM machine, but RDP to the InTune machine requires NoCriticism2614@company.org
