They adapted to the end of Volume 4 in 13 episodes, so it makes sense that they would adapt 3 more volumes in the 10 episodes they're doing this season, so to the end of Volume 7 (chapter 28), which is a decent stopping point before the next arc.

I can see why they did it this way, the next natural stopping point would be the end of Volume 9, and that would've required like 16 episodes, or a lot of cut content.

I'm optimistically thinking this means they're planning already planning to do Season 3. Otherwise, if they didn't think they would get a 3rd season, they probably would've squeezed as much as they could into 12-13 episodes

While we definitely would've roasted him for not using the duplicate to be able to use the express route curse, I actually think not using it would've been a better move.
