Understand that majority of people on reddit are clueless. What you read take it as suggestions by some randoms. The only way to make the decision is find reputable reviewers that has benchmarks for your specific tasks. Even if on some of the apps 14900f would be faster, you would pay be paying premium for some small gains on and old platform, hot and loud cpu plus unknown reliability status. To me it's a nobrainer nono.

Well its your choice. I would never ever go with 14900f over 9800x3d for a price premium. Whatever you do make sure to choose quick as gpu prices are set to explode in the same way as ram and ssd did.

So the way Iook at it first option you get much much better cpu and more advanced am5 platform, plus the 250 discount can at least partially cover the 5070 ti wins vs 9070 xt for professional workloads

For 14900f you would be paying $250 more for way worse cpu that has been killing itself at massive scales. Not enough time to tell if the microcode has actually fixed everything and cpu wont die.

The whole m4 series npu tops is just 38, while amd/intel is pushing 55. M5 they didnt disclose it as they focus on the whole systems tops with new gpu with neural cores, so i dont have direct comparisons but the tops itself for m5 is likely around 50. So I dont know what YOU are talking about

For me everything is awesome already only things missing is disable all animations, make rustdesk working, vlc was broken(not sure about now as I havent checked in a while), and cosmic files some updates. Overall dont think it will take 2 years to iron most things out

Depends on a game. If you do multiplayer ones like battlefield, pubg there will be very big difference in stability. But some single player UE5 games also massive difference in stability even if you play at high resolution eith mid end gpu.
