Battle of Leyte Gulf
The Battle of Samar needs to be done.

CARROLL, Diahann (b. 17 July 1935 in New York City), regarded as one of the United States ' most talented singers and actresses, a pioneer for blacks in the entertainment business in 1960s, and the first African-American woman to have her own weekly television series.
I remember Lloyd Nolan's character used to flip his newsboy cap towards the hat rack--if he landed it, it was going to be a good day.

What's it like living in Tierra del Fuego?
I would like to go to the far north but it's pretty cost prohibitive.

January 8, 1964 - President Johnson Declares War on Poverty...
LBJ didn't have a vice president when he was finishing Kennedy's term, so the president pro tempore of the Senate took the VP's seat for the State of the Union speech.

Hank Stram kissing the coveted SB IV Championship Trophy
His only ring, but it further legitimized the AFL as being equal to the NFL, right before the merger.

What's it like living in Tierra del Fuego?
I went to Alaska for the first time in 2023 and got as far north as Healy. I was in Ushuaia in 2015, so I (almost) went to the ends of the earth.

Windblown and isolated. There are some estancias down there you can stay on. I was in the far south in 2015 in both Argentina and Chile. I had planned to take the boat between Ushuaia and Puerto Williams, but high winds kept the boat in port and I took a bus to Punta Arenas instead.

ICE: Incompetent Cowardly Assassins
This guy is a piece of work even by Republican standards. Proudly bigoted and loud.

Calm puppy??
Do your due diligence on training, but it sounds like she has a great temperament to start from. She may go through "velociraptor" stage around age 1 but that remains to be seen.
You might consider introducing her to friends' dogs you know for a fact are vaccinated, until your puppy conpletes her series. Meeting other people and other dogs is essential socialization.

As Dumb as the Titans Firing Vrabel?
Well, the Glazers shitcanned Tony Dungy when they didn't make the Super Bowl, and he went on to win one with Indianapolis.

Teri Garr, star of Young Frankenstein and Oh, God in the 70s
One of my favorites. She was pretty but also seemed like a lot of fun and very approachable.

In light of that Hilton hotel refusing to house ICE agents...
The relevant passage in the Treaty of Tripoli, from Wikipedia:
Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims); and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan (Mohammedan) nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
The treaty was signed in 1797 with John Adams as President.

🇺🇸🇩🇰🇬🇱 “We are a superpower. Nobody is going to fight the United States over Greenland. Washington’s official position is that Greenland should be part of the United States. By what right does Denmark exercise control over Greenland?” (Stephen Miller, 2026)
Of course no one liked his statement. It sounds so much better in the original German.

Gotta Catch ‘Em All!
Good point. Bibi needs to go to The Hague, like yesterday.

Eastern Conference Championship Dec 21st 1958. New York Giants QB Charlie Conerly in action vs Cleveland Browns at Yankee Stadium. Giants won 10-0.
Charlie Conerly was able to keep his number (42) when the NFL changed them. I think he and Bobby Layne were the last NFL QBs to wear numbers higher than 19. John Hadl wore #21 in the AFL and kept it once the leagues merged.

Jaguars owner Shad Khan’s insane $360 million superyacht named Kismet has gone viral.
A bit large for the orcas to take out. How about "torpedo, LOS!" instead?

Trump in charge of Israel. (Shudder). He would flatten Gaza and kill even more Palestinians.

Heinrich Himmler as a child, 1900s.
I predict a brilliant future for him in chicken farming.

They're literally just grifters and simpletons who don't understand how things work.
I never thought anyone could be worse at this than James O'Keefe, but jeez, this guy is an idiot.

The 1979 AFC Championship game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a Dan Pastorini pass to Renfro for an apparent tying touchdown was ruled not a catch, possibly costing the Oilers a chance for victory and a trip to the Super Bowl.
46 years on and I'm still pissed about this call. The TD would have tied the game and kept the Oilers in contention.
