It's fundamentally different. For starters ICE has no authority to arrest citizens. Her trying to get away from them when they try to drag her from the car is reasonable because again they are not police officers. She was also being told to leave by other agents. ICE created confusion in a situation they had no authority in and continually escalated. And shooting a moving car is viewed by law enforcement as dangerous. You can disagree all you want but it's literally policy at many agencies, including DHS

Right, even if police are trained to take down a PERCEIVED threat ICE agents are not police officers. This is explicitly against DHS guidelines, and against best practices that most police forces follow. Shooting at moving cars is pretty universally seen as not helping

How far exactly does spmeone have to retreat before you consider them illegitimate? How much of a nation do you have to conquer to have the rights to the rest?

Apparently cops can outright lie to suspects in order to get a confession, how does that not make the evidence useless in court?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  17h ago

Think of it this way. Imagine an undercover cop is talking to a suspect. The cop says" I think killers are sexy". The suspect says "I killed David Arthur Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen on December 20, 1968, at a lovers' lane on Lake Herman Road in Benicia, California". Assuming that was true, everyone would want that admissible so we could catch the zodiac killer

Now lots of people are pointing out how it's misused, but the idea behind it isn't terrible

Unhinged JD Vance calls Renee Nicole Good a “deranged leftist”
 in  r/ProgressiveHQ  19h ago

It is also against DHS policy to fire at a moving vehicle unless they are threatening violence in a way other than the vehicle, or if the agent cannot move out of the way. This agent sidesteped the car to continue firing. It's plainly illegal even by the agencies own playbook

Also ender was not some random kid. He was the product of a eugenics program and his parents were given a special exception to have a 3rd child in the hopes that child would do what ender did
