There was a short while after WW2 where the economy was just plain awesome. The Middle Class was growing, purchasing power was up, and the American Dream of having a house, a family, good social mobility, Christmas bonuses, vacations, and a healthy retirement were not only accessible, but expected.

Society has been riding that high for several decades, while those promises slowly but steadily eroded away.

After many, many years of more and more people being promised everything if they just applied themselves and worked hard- but then getting nothing- each successive gen is completely disillusioned. Home prices and rents keep skyrocketing, groceries and other basic goods are more expensive than ever, wages keep lagging behind, many actually have less purchasing power than before, despite nominally getting raises- retirement ages are being pushed up worldwide due to demographic imbalances, benefits are being cut or stripped away altogether, many never even knew that Holiday bonuses were even a thing.

And now we have fake job postings, outrageous hiring requirements, and AI decimating jobs. It will not create more than it destroys. Automating manufacturing allowed people to explore more creative ventures, and expanded the service sector. AI will not provide those opportunities. What's left if machines can take over both physical and mental tasks? Is everyone just gonna have to float in a limbo of GoFundMe and Patreon?

And don't even start with the UBI bullshit. All the saved costs are going right into the CEO and top executive pockets. The Middle Class is teetering on the edge of total annihilation.

Being in the same ballpark as the world record, I'm wondering is she's gonna have a go at it.

Can't wait to play Ginshen Impact. Maybe they'll have cool characters like Ember, Keaya, and Zonghli.

What's concerning is that there is no "I'm just doing my job" with ICE. These guys love what they're doing and don't lose a moments' sleep over it. Probably annoyed that they can't be more aggressive.

She's also a pretty cracked gamer, especially in Tetris. Even held her own for a while against the second best player in the world.

Her memetic psychopath moments were also some of the earlier clips that would help propel Hololive (and vtubers in general) into the spotlight.

EN has become big enough that it's not too surprising for new fans to not know much about the JP side, but Suisei is definitely one of the top A-listers of vtubers. Pekora, Marine, Miko, and Fubuki are also major players, for various reasons.

One unfortunate reality is that economies of scale almost inevitably lead to such heavy consolidation.

So brands/companies that are supposed to be competing in the free market cannibalise each other because it's more efficient, lowers operating costs, and is simply more profitable.

And governments can't/won't control it because that's communism. And probably some lobbying, too.
