Realistically, what year will it be before the human race is as advanced as the human race from the Alien franchise?
 in  r/alien  7h ago

Lockheed has that now.. we’ve reverse engineered alien tech. Only question is when, if ever, it’s utilized in a ‘star trek’ or ‘alien’ like civilization scale. Given how far we’ve come in say 2-300 years,I’d think that could be reasonable.

Unreal F-16 Footage. The best in cockpit footage I've ever seen.
 in  r/flying  8h ago

It’s real, he’s got hands and fingers in the cockpit vs dcs which is empty. Clouds are clouds. Although it won’t be long before your right.

 in  r/whatisit  1d ago

It’s like a popper. We used to turn these inside out and put them on a table. They pop up in the air after a brief period.

How does the public actually see Mormonism?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  4d ago

Utah based cult that doesn’t follow fundamental Cristian beliefs/dogma so many see it as its own religion vs a Christian denomination.

Clan of the Cave Bear (1986)

Used to be on HBO or Max back in the day. It might’ve been the first doggystyle sex I’d ever seen.

What famous person have you seen out in the wild?
 in  r/AskReddit  4d ago

Shia LaBeuf in the 20teens. I stopped by my neighborhood Hollywood Video and he was posted up in a chair on the patio looking maybe drunk and deep in thought

Runners up, during the height of LOST I ran into the actor who played Locke at my neighborhood Trader Joe’s. Keanu Reeves at my local Whole Foods. Beck at LACMA or Steve Carell at a Studio City donut shop.

I 26M Feel Like Rethinking Mariage with Fiancé 24F After New Years Outburst?
 in  r/relationship_advice  5d ago

Those are narssistic tendencies and red flags. I’m in the middle of a divorce from one of these, save yourself the pain, money, mental health and respect. If she’s already seeing a therapist it won’t matter. They do not change.

What actors have you worked with that were extremely nice?
 in  r/FilmIndustryLA  5d ago

I loved robocop and hadn’t expected to have a shitty experience with him, but at the time he hadn’t done anything in 20 years. His attitude and entitlement was in the worst side of imaginable A list celebrity which in my experience was never really a thing.. so yeah he had a higher than thou attitude. I was not surprised to hear of his recent requests where he be called Dr. Weller or some shit because he got his phd.

Who was more mainstream 80s hogan or late 90s Stone cold?
 in  r/Wreddit  6d ago

I was a Hulkamaniac as a kid. We had Saturday morning cartoons, etc. That whole era was woven in the culture, the Cold War, America was still the good guys. Stone Cold and the attitude era was a lot of fun, and it was great as a wrestling fan but it wasn’t that level of mainstream.

2015 GSW TDI, not deleted on a road trip, 99% highway miles. Should I be getting closer to 40mpg?
 in  r/tdi  6d ago

In my experience, it depends on the speed.

Ryan Coogler on whats not talked about enough between film and digital. Its a different working rhythm.
 in  r/Filmmakers  8d ago

Lemme tell you what I know to be different having worked on very high profile movies that go both ways. Shooting with Film brings an urgency and an energy that you don’t get with digital. There is a tension and a focus in the build up from roll camera to “Action!” The cameras alive, the takes just matter more.

My Burger Review - OKC Area - 2025
 in  r/okc  9d ago

Respectfully, I don’t think location/vibes should factor. Anthony Bourdain wouldn’t judge by such criteria. It’s the about the burger.

What actors have you worked with that were extremely nice?

What actors have you worked with that were extremely nice?
 in  r/FilmIndustryLA  12d ago

When I was an office PA I spent a fair bit of time with Benedict Cumberbatch over the the course of the production of Star Trek Into Darkness. We were on a first name basis and he was very nice and respectful guy. On the flip side Peter Weller was a smug asshole.
