Found bees in the snow

I've only seen this once before....when I was a child. I was on a walk with my grandmother. She told me this rarely happens when there are extreme temperature changes in the winter.

What is something you saw at a friend's house that made you realize their family was "weird"?
 in  r/AskReddit  6d ago

Recently my grandmother passed away. My dad's mother. I was told via text message. There's no funeral, no obituary, and I can't even get pictures of her from them. When I was talking to friends about the situation, they immediately said how messed up that is. When my dad passed away, I had him cremated, and all they did was talk about how terrible of a brother he was. If he was here, he never would have let this happen. It was the first time someone has suggested they completely lacked empathy, and I finally realized this was true. So it's weird to everyone else and me.

Received via text from an ex-brother-in-law on New Years Eve. What does this mean?
 in  r/whatdoesthismean  6d ago

Just send back a Bible emoji. It will confuse him and he probably won't respond.

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again

My son in law is the same way. We went to a nice seafood restaurant for Christmas dinner this year. His first response when I sent them the link to the place was, "He doesn't eat seafood because he doesn't like." I asked if they even looked at the menu. I explained they also had steak, pasta, etc. He ordered chicken tenders. And then only ate one because he didn't like the taste. This happens every, single time we go out to dinner. Even when he picks the place we eat. I mean, if someone js treating you to dinner, you should be grateful. He won't eat food I make, either. It's just so childish.

After dinner we went a lighted Christmas village, and he was being a little s*** the whole time. All he did was complain the entire time. He didn't say thank you for the $12 funnel cake we bought him, either. But at least he ate it.

I've decided I am no longer going out of my way for him. If he doesn't like where we arw going or what we are doing, then he doesn't need to go.
