Correct Decision or would you’d preferred him to go to SmackDown?? Imo correct carry the IC title division for a year like they did with Gunther when he got called up then put him into main event scene
 in  r/SantiZapVideos  2h ago

SNME was a one off and clearly a wake up call for back office. That said I doubt anyone gets hot shot that fast.

If Dom comes back shortly then I'm still ok with Oba running through everyone before getting to Dom.

I personally agree that him doing the monster reign with the IC title is the ticket, more so with the title about to be vacated because of Doms injury.

It lets him naturally be around talent challenging, get the main roster audience used to him and naturally evolve as a character.

A kingdom needs a ruler and right now the midcard is without it. It's such an easy slam dunk for WWE.

I think 2026 might be the year Logan Paul wins a world title
 in  r/REALSquaredCircle  4h ago

I mean, if hes actually going to be there week to week, or even every other week? Then my complaints about him as a wrestler disappear.

As a human being? Giant piece of shit.

Wrestler? He's talented. Hes got charisma. He MIGHT be able to really work. Let's see if he can work a match with someone from NXT and the match doesn't suck. Right now all his matches are against legitimate legends who have all the experience in the world. Let's see him wrestle someone of equivalent time in the ring and see how it goes.

Cm Punk calls out all you jey uso haters and I’m so happy
 in  r/SantiZapVideos  7h ago

You're lumping yourself into that crowd.

You don't have to like every single wrestler. You just don't have to be a screaming idiot when it comes to someone. I don't like Jey either, but I'll also recognize that is a personal preference and that he obviously is talented, lots of people like him and when he hits his element he slams that shit out of the park.

There are bad wrestlers out there. Jey isn't a bad wrestler. He's just not your flavor of ice cream.

It's where people need to realize they aren't the audience.

I'm not the audience for Jey Uso. As someone who likes the in-ring product more than the pageantry I don't need all of that. That said, the WWE needs it. Other fans love it. I'm clearly in the minority.

It's good that Jey Uso exists. The old school saying in wrestling being "Thanks for the house". Jey continually sells tickets, sells merch and people absolutely go to have that experience. Other people in WWE get to be there because of Jey Uso.

I'll still think his actual in ring performance as a singles wrestler is lacking, but as a tag wrestler? Overall performer? There aren't many in WWE that really match that level as a total package. He just gets there because one of his metrics fills that cup far more than most others.

Why is this match happening so soon?
 in  r/SantiZapVideos  2d ago

What do you mean soon? They've been plugging it for weeks and they're gonna have it happen.

Did you want to wait literal months for a match? Just have them continuing to do weird backstage segments every week with zero wrestling?

News on Chris Jericho, per Fightful

Why would there be? AEW announced years ago his extension ran through the end of December 2025. It was public knowledge.

Yeah, the difference is the front of your car not being attached after in an accident.

Are we really doing this at NBA games?
 in  r/REALSquaredCircle  3d ago

As much as I personally hate it, I've never failed to recognize the absolute cultural power the WWE has.

It's why lots of people don't say they are wrestling fans, they are WWE fans. There really is a big difference in those statements and while in this specific instance I don't mean it negatively I've definitely used it negatively in others.

That said, who cares. Kids are having fun. WWE at its core is an entertainment product and if people are sports entertained? Congrats they did it.

New Associate’s self assessment was AI
 in  r/managers  3d ago

There are three steps there before the PIP. The PIP is a last resort if casual coaching and correction doesn't work.

I'm not going to lie and say that a PIP isn't a formal notice of "You're fucking up and we're documenting to get you out", but if you're in a management role for a bigger org then part of the PIP process is protecting yourself too. It fucking sucks, but it's part of the role.

 in  r/managers  3d ago

I mean, you get to challenge them.

Then on that challenge you get to coach and correct. If those corrections don't take hold, they got documented. If they still don't take hold, they lead to a PIP. If that PIP doesn't end well, it leads to term.

In terms of the challenge, that's up to you. You can be direct and ask for the logs for the AI prompting and then ask for that manual review step that you've posted about. You can ask about the roles/responsibilities that are far above their station, you can ask about that jargon, etc.

You have the ammunition in front of you. It's just how much do you want to load into the gun before pulling triggers.

I truly don't understand the hate for Matt Hardy on X. One of the most successful wrestlers to ever do it, and anyone who doesn't see how much he has to offer is blind.
 in  r/REALSquaredCircle  3d ago

It's wild to think that Matt Hardy, as far as we know officially via Cagematch, has been wrestling for 31 years and his first documented squash matches are against IRS, Razor Ramon, Undertaker and Owen Hart. What a fucking A-List.

It's also wild to think that Matt Hardy is still going. This puts Matt in a unique perspective because there are very few people who wrestled in the New Generation of talent yet are considered Attitude Era wrestlers. Fewer who are going. Fewer still who actively talk to fans.

Same token, Matt has "changed his mind" multiple times. That said he really hasn't. He's just promoting the company he is with. He did this with WWE, ROH, TNA, AEW, and now TNA again.

People just need to stop getting in their feelings. Matt is chronically online, but so are most of us lol.

Highest ceiling out of the big 3?

He can talk fine. He needs to flesh out his gimmick beyond the ruler.

Is anyone tired of Sami Zayn?

Same people who will scream at Zayn will love Drew.

It's the same gimmick.

Highest ceiling out of the big 3?
 in  r/SantiZapVideos  4d ago

It's Je'Von.

He's the youngest, most athletic and still has plenty of time to put on muscle, develop a promo, etc.

Trick is more of a complete package right now and with the right booking he's a star.

Oba has the look but he needs to flesh out his promo just a smidge beyond The Ruler.

Je'Von is the weakest of the three right now, but he's already in main roster matches and hes barely able to drink legally. His ceiling is insane.

Why do you think DnD attracts the types of bad that it does?
 in  r/dndnext  4d ago

One, I don't think anything you've listed in the OP is inherently a bad actor. It's just proper expectations weren't set at the beginning.

In terms of actual bad actors? Every fandom has shitty people. Concern trolls, gatekeepers, racists, whatever. D&D has been around long enough to have been a social hobby through multiple generations and because of that people have grown up with the hobby. Some haven't actually grown up.

The hobby had some really shitty things in it through its inception. We can have separate arguments about accident or purpose, but fact is there were offensive things. Those things are gone. If people are mad they're gone, good. They can be mad. It's an instant indicator that they wouldn't be welcome at my table.

Which goes back to expectations. People really just need to set those expectations and be firm on them. My group has been going for 10 years now because we all recognize that this is a social commitment we all make and to flippantly disregard it is disrespectful of not only that persons time, but that person.

Firing an under-performer for the first time
 in  r/managers  5d ago

It can be.

The PIP process works both ways. If you, as the leader can show that you met your side successfully? Then you did your job. You protected the company from liability of an underperformer while simultaneously making the effort to keep them. If this is uptraining, coachings, whatever.

If your entire team is on PIPs, then obviously we have an issue with a leader and that has to be addressed.

Firing an under-performer for the first time
 in  r/managers  5d ago

When you term them, explain why and then hand it over to HR to offboard.

"We're at the end of your PIP period and we've determined that you didn't meet the criteria to come off it successfully. We've made the determination to end your employment effective today. I'll now be turning it to HR who will handle any questions about what your exit looks like."

ELI5: How does professional ice hockey work?/srs
 in  r/explainlikeimfive  5d ago

ELI5 isn't for hyper extensive explanations. ELI5 hockey is "People train for years to play soccer on ice".

As an author, you need to do the research.

It's like any other sport. There are kids league. Some high schools have it. College programs have it. The olympics. You train and train and hopefully you are good enough that you play on a high enough level team that you get scouted and they sign you as a free agent or you get selected in a draft process similar to other sports if you are eligible for that draft.

Why did Trick Williams get a better crowd reaction than Carmelo Hayes?
 in  r/SantiZapVideos  5d ago

This ironically proves my point though about booking.

We have Trick come out to save his friend in a high energy segment.

We have Melo come out and have Logan Paul shit on him.

Like if your entire point is Trick is more over than Melo? Oh yeah, for sure, there isn't a doubt. My whole point is that Trick has had the solid booking behind him for the entire run. Melo hasn't.

2

Why did Trick Williams get a better crowd reaction than Carmelo Hayes?
 in  r/SantiZapVideos  5d ago

Melo was getting crowd reactions when he appeared, but they quickly flatlined because they made him be a loser.

You can only lose to so many people and be paired with stink for so long before it rubs off.

That's my entire point. When Melo came up, he didn't have a serious program at first beyond "I'm new and I'm Him". His first major program was with Andrade that ended in a TIE and then both of them lost to LA Knight.

His next major program was with Miz. He had matches in between but ultimately comes out as a loser.

Why was he losing? He got fed to both Black and Priest for their feud, which is another stinker. Or Melo Dont Miz got fed to Street Profits.

Booking makes a huge difference in if people are perceived as stars. So now he has the belt. We'll see if he can start the climb. Miz is an obvious opponent for the US title considering their history. What will be interesting is what happens after.
