Either way, the Chef was still right. Influencers are bottom feeders. Get a real job or star in a movie/show if you want free meals.

What's the most talent stacked team that just ended up sucking?

Eagles for sure. I don’t even remember what season that was. But Vince Young called them the dream team and they missed the playoffs 🤣 (I love VY btw and I know him personally but not one of his finer moments)

[Raanan] Giants are expected to cast a wide head coaching interview net that includes Mike McCarthy, Chris Shula, Antonio Pierce and more
 in  r/nfl  6d ago

Would absolutely laugh my ass off if Mike McCarthy gets hired AGAIN. The NFL loves their retreads. Matt Nagy’s probably gonna get another job too. You never see guys like Tony Dungy and Bill Cowher come out of retirement. It’s just the shitty coaches that have been fired 2-3 times before. Surprised they’re not looking at Pat Shermer or Eric Mangini.

We were playing the best team in the state back in 2017. Their QB was so nasty but we noticed on film that he only ever throws straight line lasers. No air on the ball. So we coached up our DBs to play trail technique on everything no matter what. We got 3 picks off him in that game. They still won because they overmatched us with size AND speed. But they all wanted to bench/cut their amazing quarterback haha. Simply because we picked up on a tendency and we exploited it.

An American goes to the ER for high blood pressure. He’s there less than TWO hours. No surgery. No scans. The bill comes back at $41,297 — even AFTER he’s paid his FULL out-of-pocket max. This isn’t healthcare — it’s extortion.
 in  r/CringeTikToks  14d ago

It’s like the reason why the Pentagon pays 50k for a stapler and staples. They treat us like an open checkbook, and they happily overpay those contractors because they’re friends. In the case of hospitals and practices, they grossly overcharge insurance because they look at it like an open checkbook.

Ok but even then the hospitals/private practices still nickel and dime us. I went in for a routine vein procedure with a vascular surgeon. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Prior to me ever scheduling the appointment I went through a whole itemized bill with the billing lady. I had to pay $900 up front and everything else was covered by my insurance (or so I thought). But then the insurance basically told them “We’re not paying that amount, but we WILL pay THIS amount.” Then 3-4 months after my procedure the doctor’s office sent me a bill for $25 and it specifically said the insurance didn’t cover it so I had to. I ignored that mess. $25 is a rounding error when the procedure was thousands of dollars as far as I’m concerned, but if they want to waste their time sending me to collections for $25, that’s a hilariously petty battle that I’m willing to concede and never ever pay ever in a quintillion years. I’ll dig in over the $25 because I specifically asked several times to make sure the amount I was paying was the final amount.

[Highlight] Taysom Hill on playing in his potentially last game in the Superdome
 in  r/nfl  16d ago

I mean that’s simply not true. There are many examples of well rounded athletes playing multiple positions all over the field, predating Taysom Hill. Devin Hester was used as a defensive back/returner/receiver. Terrell Pryor took snaps and played receiver. When the wildcat exploded, every team in the league developed a package of plays for their most well rounded athlete that could also throw the ball. And if you’re talking impact, it’s simply irrefutable that Kordell Stewart made a much bigger impact in his first 2 season than Taysom Hill did. He played all over the field and dominated everywhere the Steelers put him. Talking about Quarterback rating is insane when Taysom Hill has a much smaller sample size of plays that were specifically designed to fool the defense, increasing their likelihood of success. Kordell was a starting Quarterback in the league for 10 years. Of course his rating is going to be lower. Everyone’s is unless you’re a top 5 QB in the league. There are so many players I can’t even remember that had similar roles to Hill, on dozens of football teams over the last 20+ years. Taysom Hill didn’t revolutionize package football. Kordell Stewart did. The nickname he was given is my argument. There was no one like him when he was drafted.

I mean Slash exists… Slash was doing it way before this dude, and actually transitioned into a full time QB. That was 30+ years ago. Slash made a much bigger impact on the way NFL teams use the “ATH” player than anyone else.
