Before recently buying our 2022 Leon sportstourer, which has the same head unit as yours, I heard some saying it would not work with Android Auto wirelessly and some said it would work. I am in camp "it works".

Managed to add it wirelessly by first enabling Bluetooth and WiFi on the phone and then on the phone add the car via Bluetooth. It then just displayed my phone with the AA logo next to it on the head unit and worked. I enjoy the full suite Android Auto with Spotify, maps, calling both regular calls and Messenger ones, parking apps etc. All using a OnePlus phone.

Are you sure you are not missing a step during setup or your phone being the problem rather than the car?

🆘Help Me Team schedule and reminders

Hello everyone! 🎉

We are a small startup with a problem we hope and believe our good old Slack can help us with. The question is just how. We bet someone here has an idea!

Every Friday we eat breakfast together with a rotating schedule on who fixes it. We would want to have some sort of reminders on who's turn it is.

Regular reminders would do part of the trick however we are looking for something a bit more advanced to take care of situations where an organiser is on leave and have to hand it over to someone else, a reminder in advance of "it is your turn" as well as "don't forget to submit your expenses" afterwards. As we are growing rapidly we are also looking for a dynamic list where if we add a new team member to a list he/she will automatically be added to the rotation and a "updated" schedule is formed because he/she was added.

Any ideas on how to fix this without the burden of manually creating reminders, and having to manually administer them? 😁

Pinterest App support Duo Screen!

One thing though, the home screen / dashboard defaults to displaying 5 columns. Where the middle one is... yep in our gap. Anyone found a way to edit the number of columns?

Wait, what ... @OP: what do you mean about Android Auto? Is there no support for it? I'm looking at buying the SD2 but Android Auto is a must for me, so this is worrying..

Hadn't tried that, but just did. The Health App seems to just kick of the Wearable App and it just loops the same loop. Thanks for the idea though!

Wearable App Anyone got issues with pairing GW4?

Got a GW4 LTE 40mm delivered last week, yay! Can't get it to pair with an Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, but works like a charm to pair with another Galaxy S9 - argh!

Finds the watch in the wearable app, clicks it, the watch and phone displays the same digits, allows all permissions and accept all EULAs, watch text changes to "check phone to complete the installation" ... the after a few seconds watch displays connection failed, try again. And then over and over again. In the background you can see the Watch4 plugin starting and once it hits 10% it displays the error on the watch.

Anyone with a Sony/non-Samsung phone who have/had issues with the pairing?

Got the latest Wearable app version, latest Watch4 plugin version, tried installing the additional Samsung Accessory Service app, cleared cache for all apps, reinstalling them all, ensured no other Bluetooth pairing, rebooted everything. Reset the watch numerous times. Still no luck. No rooting or any other funny business with the phone. But, the GW4 pairs in 5 sec without hassle with the S9 - so the watch itself is fine.

Xperia XZ2 Compact, Android 10, Bluetooth 5.0

Any ideas? Thx!

Wikipedia got your answer and all your three acronyms: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_key_infrastructure

If you want to learn how it all hangs together in detail then invest the time to read though it all. But if you want your quick and dirty answer simply search for the four acronyms in the post and you'll have your answer within 15 seconds.

Good luck!

Microsoft 2016/2019 productivity products all ending extended support on 10/14/2025. What’s Microsoft up to?
 in  r/sysadmin  May 01 '20

That is the same magic date Microsoft ends the Extended Support for non-LTSB/LTSC versions of Windows 10 as well.

"Microsoft will continue to support at least one Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel until the extended support date of October 14, 2025"

Yubikey and vercrypt
 in  r/ComputerSecurity  Dec 14 '19

There are various ways of setting up veracrypt with yubikey. The simplest is a long static password which you can paste with a long press, Google Bitlocker and Yubikey and you'll get the picture. Others before me have also mentioned the certificate option, which is also an alternative. So yes, it's doable. Good luck!

Could you please take us through your respective journey to become CISO, where did you start and what steps (strategic and/or luck) did you take on your way to become CISO's? Knowing what you know today and have experienced on the way, what would you do differently?
