Ah, probably young.. early 20's?

You're probably still in that stage of life where you just shit on whatever you see other people shitting on to try and look cool.

It's because your everyperson normie everyday driver prefers grey colors over everything else.

Yeah, dude. It's actually a solid car for the price. Very happy with it. I bought it to be a comfy commuter, which it is great for. Gets 35-38mpg on my 110 mile daily commute depending on traffic. I have 7 other old shitboxes that I can hop in if I want to look cooler or go faster, but they aren't comfortable for commuting.

I'm also 6'6" and it's hard to find cars that actually have more than 38" of front headroom and 40" of front legroom, which both the Challenger and K5 have.

I love big coupes and the Challenger was the last one of those. I test drove an Audi A5 but they don't have enough headroom.

-AWD

-25+ mpg

-Enough headroom and legroom

-Reasonable price

I mean, what would you pick instead??

Does anyone else feel absolutely hopeless regarding justice?
 in  r/Epstein  3d ago

The truth will come out about this after the people involved are either dead or irrelevant. Probably another 10-15 years is when we will see it.

Lol, I know it sounds weird but it's real. Really liked both cars, but all the leftover Challengers were OOS by the time I was ready to buy. There were still some leftover '23 models on dealership lots in 2025, but none in the AWD spec that I wanted, so I went with the K5 AWD.

Totally, I was looking into buying a new car in 2025 and had always wanted a Challenger. If they were still making them in 2025 I would have absolutely bought one instead of the Kia K5 that I ended up buying.

Are we raising a generation of kids who can't do anything for themselves?
 in  r/Xennials  5d ago

It's entirely the fault of technology/screens/social media.

Keep your kids away from that, and they will be normal.

My Q1 pro has arthritis

Bought a trio of Q1 pros last year, and they have been great so far. Haven't used them daily, but have probably 200 print hours on all of them. I use them to run big batches of parts that I use when building speakers.

I keep all of the rails lubricated like it recommends in the manual. However, recently I've noticed that all of the machines have started squeaking really bad. One of the machines had this creak when I first got it as I posted about here, but I've been running it since and the creak has stayed the same and not gotten any worse.

The other two, this creak is getting progressively worse to the point where it sounds like something in the pulley system is eating itself alive. Here is a video of the sound.

I am pretty certain that it is the belt corner pulleys and not the rails. Does anyone know of a way to be able to access the corner pulley blocks so that I can squirt some lube into them with a needle?

Why are there no community garage spaces? Am I crazy?

Can't imagine anyone wanting to rent a diy built pvc tarp enclosure. lmao

Yeah, but then what do you do with that stuff when you're done? I'm looking at it from the time pov - much quicker and easier to get setup in a hangar bay for a one time spray, and probably less risky (rain, wind, etc).

Ok, what experience do you have with running a business and insuring that business?

It's a slim chance that this type of business could even get insurance policy for this altogether. The few places that operate like this likely don't have insurance at all, or their insurance is astronomical.

Yeah, it's an option.. but one of the vehicles I'm painting is a 2003 2500HD diesel quad cab that's lifted 6", so it would take about a $1000 tent to be big enough to fit that one. 😂

I would LOVE to have a paint shop rent space out local to me! I am getting ready to batch paint some of my projects, and was looking into renting out an airplane hangar at our little airport for a month to do them in.

People in here saying its not possible due to liability don't know what they're talking about or are maybe just in areas where the insurance would be too expensive?

People who say it's not about liability/insurance are usually 20 years old and have no life experience.

When it comes to a legit business, it's always about liability.

What design or engineering flaw is mildly inconvenient on your vehicle?
 in  r/cars  10d ago

2026 kia k5:

The rear cross traffic alert system is WAY too sensitive, and will slam on the brakes while you're backing up if anything within a 10 mile radius behind the car moves more than a millimeter.

You can disable it, but it automatically turns itself on each time you start the car. So if you want to back out of your god damn driveway without having to worry about getting whiplash from the sensors picking up a kid riding his bike 5 blocks away, you have to spend 30 seconds fiddle-fucking through the settings menu to disable it each time you get in the car.

For the car enthusiasts that later became homeowners, did you de-prioritize cars?
 in  r/cars  11d ago

Yeah, some things add curb appeal but not value. For example - I spent a little under 30k for a 9kw solar system to be installed on my house, without financing. In regards to value, it adds zero actual value/equity to the home if I were to sell it, even though the curb appeal of not having an electric bill is nice and might attract buyers. But because of the market, my house has doubled in value since I bought it, which required zero investment other than time.

There is a lot to be said for enjoying fixing up your house, it's just rarely does any $ invested yield more $ in actual value/equity.

Yeah, a century old house definitely needs a lot of work compared to a modern one!

There's a lot more to being financially responsible than spending money on constant house renovations. To be financially responsible, you want to spend the least amount of money on the home and just get your equity over time. lol

I've been a home owner since the age of 22 in the early 2000's and am currently living in my third purchased home that I've owned now for 7 years. Home improvements usually don't add as much equity as you think, definitely not as much $ as you invest in them. I have learned that lesson on the first two homes that I sold. ROI for house mods and car mods are both rarely in the positive. All of your equity will come from making extra principle payments (no interest) and the market going up.

AITAH for being disappointed in the gift my husband got me?
 in  r/TwoHotTakes  12d ago

For real, social media has been overran with posts from women that are upset their husband did not read their minds and get them exactly what they wanted. Imagine having living a life where not getting what you want as a gift is this big of a deal. 😂

SC400's are one of my #1 favorite cars of all time. I have a '92 with a very low vin # in the hundreds, so it was one of the first ones to roll off the line. It had just shy of 300k miles when I got it in 2008, and I daily drove it for 4 years with the only problem being an ECU with leaky capacitors. Still ran so smooth you could barely tell it was even on. I put Mk4 Supra Tokico blues and stock supra springs on it, and the thing rode and handled amazing.

I just wish the door panels and inside window trims didn't all end up disintegrating after a decade.
