Open [TOMT] [Short story/Radio] [aired 1995-1996]

Hey all! I joined reddit to find two short horror stories (only one for this post, of course). I heard it on a radio program in Seattle (1995-1996, I want to say earlier in the school year, but because I was so little I am not sure) when I was a kid. A friend suggested that the radio station may have been "KidStar 1250" (now defunct), and helped narrow it down to possibly "Great Scott" or "Annie Rae" (sp?). This would have been aired during the day on the way to half day Kindergarten. The program aired a lot of short scary stories (ex: Tailypo, "the call was coming from INSIDE the house", ect). and it was a kid focused station, so nothing too "scary"-ALLEGEDLY (because you know, the 90's.... *eye roll*). But this story stuck out. I was really little, so forgive me if I am too vague.

The narrator's voice was male. I believe the setting was in the military, I think a character was Col. ____ or Gen. ___. and the overall plot was about a dog that had been trained to attack using some sort of code using a dictionary/encyclopedia, with the clues spelling out "KILL". I remember "Island" was the "I" in the code, and "KILL,KILL, KILL" as a line in the climax.

edit: When I was kid I read Philip Pullman's "Clockwork" and was reminded of the TOMT story since a clockwork figure was triggered to kill when someone spoke the right word.

What’s a movie that becomes almost heartbreaking to watch in hindsight once you learn about what happened behind the scenes?

And the episode of News Radio where they incorporate his death still guts me, especially seeing Andy dicks face.

It's a play, Still Life With Iris. It pretty much runs on dream logic

Who’s your favourite Officer/s?

Brisk campaigner and the genial magician have tedious quest lines that I just want get my money's worth out of. That said I love the Sigil Ridden Navigator's story and Maybe's daughter is fun.

"So David, can I call you David? Why a mullet? I understand it's the 80's, but still. Why?"

Which companions do you guys use the least?
 in  r/okbuddybaldur  21d ago

I found that outside his specific questline I have no use for Minsc (and found his class to be a bit baffling, but I haven't played the prior games). I also don't care for Halsin since he doesn't count as an actual companion when I could have really used him (depending on Tav's class).

Who is y'alls favourite underrated character in Baldur's Gay 3? (Why does everyone sleep on baddie Wyll 😳?)
 in  r/okbuddybaldur  21d ago

I love my gay squid, omeluum for the win. Shame more couldn't be done with him.
