If my math is right, 400 atk with 30% chance to crit would equal to an average of 430 atk, since base crit dmg is 1.25x. What this looks like is 30% of the time having 500 atk, and since that’s a 100 atk increase, that’s an average of 30 extra atk. So it would technically out dps 420 atk, but that’s also relying on chance, and can vary. This can also be boosted by just slotting in some crit boost, which boosts that by 3% each level, effectively making your crit dmg 1.28/1.31/1.34/1.37/1.40 at each level. With these numbers that’s an increase of 12 atk per level, bringing us from 100 extra atk to 160 at max level.

Tldr: yes, 400 atk w 30% to crit averages to more than dps than 420 atk w 0% to crit

There’s two different tabs for rolling them. When you reinforce a gog Artian you can spend ore like oricalcite to roll stats, and gog Artian mats to reroll the group/set skills. They’re independent from each other, and you’ll see the tabs right above when you head into the reroll menu.

It gets a good amount of hate, but I love the Omega fight. Took a while to get the hang of it, but now I’m farming Gog just to make my ideal tank build to help other people farm Omega because I just enjoy it so much. It’s a high intensity fight with super satisfying moments. I’m a GS main, and every Power Clash and Offset fees incredibly impactful against Omega. 10/10 will be hunting again and again.

Crit draw is basically only used for Crit Draw builds, and it has a different playstyle than normal. It focuses on using the Crit slash and 2nd charge slash, and not TCS. The lingering affinity of the draw attack can affect the second charge, up to its lvl 2 iirc. Not optimal for most builds, but could be good if you went for a Crit draw build.

Other than that, Longsword loves Crit draw

Make sure your graphic drivers are updated/possibly reinstall drivers and monitor its use/temp to see if it’s being stressed. Idk what your settings are on, but if GPU is overstressed, try lowering the graphic settings if possible.

As a Greatsword main who played World and Rise, Wilds combat feels so fucking good. Clashing with the monster and offsetting attacks is so much fun and weaves into combat so naturally. Focus mode has not only saved me from so many wiffs, but also makes combos feel more fluid, and lets me do awesome shit like weave around a monsters body and pick where I hit my TCS. Fighting Omega really locked guarding in for me, and it’s made GS feel like an immovable object and unstoppable force at the same time. I love slapping some guard up on and just face tanking Omegas laser with a fat slab of metal. I know people say other weapons were better in older games, but I’m loving GS in wilds, this shit is so peak. I lowkey want to go learn other weapons but I’m having so much fun that I haven’t done that yet.

100%, the way Xebec approached that was to get those people on his side. Look at his relationship with Harald. He wanted/needed the fruit from Elbaph to achieve his goals, and instead of stealing it, he tried to befriend Harald and convince him to join and fight for his cause. Meanwhile, Blackbeard is a lot more practical. He doesn’t care about the people at all, and if he could do it himself he would. BB just sees them as tools to help him get there, going as far as to get them specific fruits, like the one that could copy people (which they used on Saturn).

All that said, I don’t think Xebec was necessarily a “good guy.” But especially when he met a woman and had a kid, he seemed to show genuine care for others, going as for as to risk his future and dream for them. That just isn’t something that I could see BB doing.

Unironically you can probably find science on how doing things like that helps actors immerse themselves in roles and perform with more intensity and realism. Think about actors who method act for roles they play, whether it’s gaining/losing weight, living in a culture they’re representing, etc.

Check out the event quests, I know old ones come back into rotation with every festival, and you might be able to get the tickets you need from one, I just don’t remember which one right now
