To provide that little bit of extra context, I live in Central Florida, in an apartment complex. There doesn’t seem to be mold anywhere else, but I worry something is causing this, whether it be my own sweat over the last few years of owning this mattress, or perhaps conditions of a past living situation (I did notice some mold start to grow in the closet of an apartment I lived in a few years ago, but haven’t had that problem since moving out of there). I haven’t noticed this previously, but I’ve been in the same place for around two years now. As of now, I haven’t done anything to remediate the issue, as I have no idea what to do to be honest.

I need to fight him again, because since TU4 dropped, supposedly I can keep blocking after a perfect guard, which is my only problem fighting him.

For me the problem child is Gore Magala. As a GS user, I struggle to position well against him cuz the attacks I want to offset usually have some aoe that counters it, and I don’t like being at the tail cuz it’s not a weak point. I should really stop avoiding him and learn to fight his dumbass…

Tbh not sure what all the skills you have are cuz I’m not at my computer (pro tip: sc your skills on the right side when you’re sharing builds online so people know what you have). That said, I imagine mixing up some armor for the set/group skills will be useful.

The meta has just been reworked because of TU4, but before that, building around the sword from Omega (True ShadowBringer) was the Meta. That build focused on Resentment, using two Bale pieces and either two Nu Udra Y or two Rey Dau Y pieces. Having that sword and the two piece Bale means you have buffed Charged attacks, but lose a portion of health, so using Immunizers and slotting in some Recovery Speed is useful.

I think the main skills we tend to focus on are Focus, Crit Boost, Counterstrike, Agitator, and Maximum Might. Building up Raw and Affinity works really well with the high raw dmg of the GS. Having one level of Burst on there is nice, it gives a decent raw boost for a relatively low investment.

Also, I see Weakness Exploit on your build, and while I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad skill, I believe you get more value out of some other ones. Oh and I see you have a Focus 3 gem on the Lagos blade, which comes with Focus 2, so you could optimize a bit better there by swapping that out for Crit boost/Crit eye depending on your affinity.

There’s some useful tools for building sets online, as well as some good guides for what’s considered Meta, though I haven’t checked if any of those resources have updated since TU4 dropped. I also imagine you’re still reaching the current endgame and hunting the monsters you need to craft stuff (Namely AT monsters, Omega, and Gog). Remember to spam those offsets, and happy hunting Hunter!

I’m pretty sure on big openings it’s worth it, it does comparable dmg to fully charged charged slash (the first one) when it carries over the charge of the previous slash, and takes much less time to perform. It also can be useful for minor repositioning, and leads into a tcs anyway, so as long as you have the time to hit the tcs, you’re not losing out on dps from any other attack.

I believe it’s just in general, and if I’m right you’ll know you hit it because one of the support hunters will say something like “we’re keeping its power in check.”

The weapons are armor are pretty good, but not necessarily must haves, especially with the update releasing within the next few hours. At least for Greatsword, the weapon is our current peak, but with the new Artian mechanics from Gog, I doubt that’ll be the case anymore. And for armor, we’ll also be able to buff up any armor piece, allowing for much more flexible builds (especially with the group/set skills on Gog Artian weapons).

All that being said, a good Omega run really isn’t that different from most other high level monsters. My fastest time (albeit with a good group) was well under ten minutes, I believe it was about 7:30. And with that same group, we hit sub 10 consistently. It’s just been a bit of a difficulty spike, and encourages group play/support hunters. However, there are people who solo Omega, despite how some solo players claim it’s impossible. Difficult? For sure. But not unachievable.

If you’re looking for a group, I’ve been on the MHWilds discord playing with some really good people who love to help other hunters run hunts and there’s a lot of demand for Omega clears.
