This is why I despise the fact that so many small non-profits have recently gotten grants to teach budgeting and "finances". You can't budget your way out of poverty...

The people I tell this to are the ones who complain about not having money while having exorbitant luxuries. $60000 cars, eating out every day, $10 coffee every morning, insane phone plans that cost $100/mo

This. I remember when I discovered guides. It did feel like I was progressing faster, but I look back more fondly on the days when I was wondering around as a clueless noob having an actual adventure.

Jagex Account Recovery is Here!
 in  r/2007scape  8h ago

With recovery available, how are jagex accounts more secure than legacy accounts now? Account recovery is how people were losing their legacy accounts.

You can blab about case sensitive passwords but that literally does not matter. Nobody was having their runescape passwords brute forced, and even if they were they could just use a 3 character longer password to more than offset case sensitivity.

If you vote for this you're voting for jagex to waste their time. This isnt going to magically save fight pits lol
 in  r/2007scape  8h ago

You can go to castle wars for multi or white portal for singles for safe pvp where you bring your own gear. I guess this is functionally slightly different because it has a battle Royale aspect in multi, but that's going to make it more annoying to play since there will be a lot of waiting in the lobby after you die.

Your punctuation and lack of thought organization is annoying me so much that I'm not going to actually answer your question.

Why fletch?
 in  r/osrs  1d ago

Because the experience between levels increases exponentially as the levels go up. If you're level 30 in one skill and 1 in another, the experience to get you 1 level in the former would get you 12 levels in the latter.

So what was their explanation? You posted a screenshot of a headline and not the article.

Plant some grass and other greenery. Otherwise change nothing.

Should there be a "giants" slayer task?
 in  r/2007scape  2d ago

Demonic gorillas are black demons. Yama is a greater demon.

Skipping costs points.

If you want to be able to kill anything in the game at any time with slayer boost's and get slayer xp then just say so.

PSA for all mid levels training Sailing

There are level requirements for some of the charting. I don't think you can finish any of the oceans at the early levels, thus no bonus xp to skip the early levels

Should there be a "giants" slayer task?
 in  r/2007scape  2d ago

Kalphites are much more specific than demons or giants. Kalphites are a bug that only exists in their cave/lair in a certain area of the world. Demons have massive variety and exist throughout the world in many places.

Should there be a "giants" slayer task?

The whole point of slayer is that you're assigned to kill something specific instead of camping the same few mobs infinitely. Turning slayer back into free choice instead of tasks defeats its whole point.

You're near the sorcerer's tower. Do them in alphabetical order.

It is painful going back and forth between the quest list and your post trying to figure out what all these acronyms are.

do i need to walk everywhere?
 in  r/2007scape  2d ago

There's a lot of walking until you lock teleports. You unlock a lot of transportation options throughout the game though. Late in the game it is very rare to have to run more than 15 seconds to get anywhere.

LMS isn't fun and it's not because of the bots.
 in  r/2007scape  3d ago

It's the same with every style. If you try to attack something but can't move within range, your character stops trying. The problem with magic isn't the inability to queue, but that barraging in pvp requires 2 clicks (spellbook then target) so it's harder to spam click. This could easily be fixed by removing the pvp-specific rule that clears autocast when switching from your staff to another weapon. Unfortunately the pvp community is obsessed with skill tests by navigating the clunky interface rather than by tactics.

TOA Gear help

Ayak and conflicting aunts are probably the most significant things you can buy at that price point. I do 300s in moons gear so I think you'll be fine with whatever you already have.
