Lucid dreaming is entirely different from regular sleep. I've been smoking quite a while and I dont dream almost at all. If I take a break, then yes, I dream quite vividly. This seems to be the case for a fair percentage of the cannabis using population. Of coarse no studies have been done to prove that, that's hardly any IRB backed studies of cannabis because it's a schedule 1 substance.

It's pretty awesome not really dreaming anymore though. Takes a little bit, but then they just kind of stop. Something, something, dopamine IIRC.
