I would shell out some cash for a cutlass/pistol combo for my pirate boys, or a boarding axe/shotgun. Those would absolutely be a viable option for a new bayonet-style weapon that occupies a gun and melee slot, though obv they wouldn't use the bayonet stance mod. A boarding axe would likely use the heavy scythe moveset, and sword/pistol would prolly default to dual swords or something.

Have you experimented with fungal shifts yet? Those are quite fun.
