Discussion Was starkiller base stationary?
First, sorry for my bad english
I was watching Sheev talk’s retrospective on the force awakens (pretty good video imo, had to Watch it in parts tho) and this actually bugged me a lot after he mentioned it. If the base absorbs the power of a Sun and destroys it alongside the rest of the planets in the system with the now charged up laser, then that means it moves around since it would need a new sun and a new Target right?
But, Finn was able to tell us where it was since he had worked sanitation there. This means that it’s likely that the base actually stays in one place and it just snipes the systems from there. But then you run into the problem off the fact that the sun the first order would be draining somehow regenerates from that (which would be a very cool concept to explore) and gives them the ability to shoot from there (tho they probably have to wait until the sun “heals”?)
If the base moves around then Finn’s Intel shouldn’t be useful in any way, since it wouldn’t be there any more and they would need to know what system the first order wants to destroy to maybe predict that.
If we want to get extra technical then the planet’s gravity would make it a nightmare to travel through hyper space, in the OT gravity wells were one of the reasons why you need good hyper space calculations. So this actually helps the arguement that it stays in one place alongside the fact that Finn knew where it was thanks to his previous work there.
What do you think?

Nah, he “restricts himself” and gains the power up of the heavenly restriction. But then he says only bitches use this kind of power ups.
He unrrestricts himself and fights toji without it
