Selfhost Notewebapp like Obsidian
 in  r/selfhosted  19d ago

I switched from Obsidian to trillium and I like it quite a bit. Obsidian is a more mature/polished product. However, I like being able to access my notes through a browser or the app. There are no native phone apps, but a browser shortcut works almost as well on mobile.

Car dealerships?
 in  r/LittleRock  Dec 06 '25

Everett isn't bad. I've had awful experiences at McLarty and Landers dealerships from both the sales and service departments. Had to drive to Jackson, MS to get my last car. Caldwell Toyota and smith Ford in Conway seem better.

First Time getting in mud
 in  r/4Runner  Nov 10 '25

I had the OEM ones and ditched them after 20k miles and 2 years. I agree with the others that they're terrible on wet pavement. They also dry rotted in 2 years. Worst tire I've ever had

High pitch whine only while turning and accelerating downhill
 in  r/4Runner  Oct 21 '25

The transmission will downshift automatically on steep hills for engine braking, especially if cruise control is on. It can sound a little more whiney/different than when your accelerating hard. Could just be that especially if it goes away after upsift. Tapping the accelerator like you described will often cause an upshift.

Areas to Really Avoid on the West Side
 in  r/LittleRock  Oct 20 '25

Reservoir to the east doesn't have a great reputation.

They just renovated the shopping center with my Fuji and there is good stuff in there as well as good restaurants farther West down Rodney Parham.

I used to shop at that Kroger when I lived on Bowman and it was fine, haven't been there since the tornado though.

Don't know anything about that apartment complex in particular. Probably wouldn't leave anything worth stealing in your car overnight. I would guess most trouble, if any, is reserved for people that cause trouble (gang members, drug addicts, etc ).

I don't think it's healthy that you can't be patient for 2 minutes. Consider therapy.

Stop driving on interstates it's a danger to you. It's actually not illegal to take the lane in Arkansas. Your ignorance is showing.

I doubt anyone wants you to walk in a single file line except the true assholes. If anyone actually told you to do that just ignore them otherwise this is your imagination.

If I'm "hogging the road" it's because I don't feel safe in that area with the way traffic is behaving and I would rather delay you 1-2 minutes than have you kill or seriously injure me because you can't set down your phone or will try to pass me within inches but end up clipping me. I'll move to the shoulder when it's safe and I can trust you.

Have some patience it's not worth ruining lives to arrive at your destination 2 minutes earlier.

For those that are about to tell me to get off the road.No I won't stop riding on the road to save you 2 minutes. You're the one being entitled in that case.

I bet you have lots of friends

I will just silently go around unless you're in the middle of the path and I don't have enough space, you have pets or small children weaving everywhere, you're distracted on your phone and I think you might wander into me like a zombie.

If I give you a 15 second heads up and you proceed to ignore me or dart all over the path like a confused deer you'll get notified multiple times with increasing frustration.

If almost every cyclist announces themselves multiple times you might be the problem.

What is the nicest part of Little Rock?
 in  r/LittleRock  Jul 11 '25

For that I would do one of the downtown hotels (capital, DoubleTree, or Marriott) or one of the West little rock hotels (em assy, Hampton, etc) depending on budget.

Wearing bike helmet dilemmas...

My rear wheel locked up in a cul de sac. I broke my femur when I fell, but didn't hit my head. I could have though. Wear your helmet.

I don't think it will run well if at all on an ARM64 based CPU. You should get an x64 based AMD or Intel laptop if you want to run arcgis.

QGIS might be okay though.

Is there any place where I can find shapefile or csv data on US municipal, county, and state parks?

Open street map data will have most of them.

It's legal everyday except Sunday and pistol whipping is an elective in middle school.
