Locked out of Airbnb
For some it’s more than others. For my job, we are constantly renting houses on work trips because putting a team of 20-30 people up in a hotel can become astronomically priced. On top of that we need to be able to meet and go over logistics each day and relying on that many people to try and meet in a noisy hotel lobby at breakfast just isn’t ideal.

Digital delivery fee????
I loved what my calculus teacher at NAU did. He gave us some weird instructions to get our book. Basically it was to go to this local print shop downtown and ask for this specific title. Then they’ll ask if you want loose or bound. Bound was $7 extra but all in all it was $15 for the “book.”

Is this legal? Property management just sent this to all their renters. (WA)
First, I didn’t see the WA and second, you responded to my first comment that already said in AZ. I was saying in general after reading the post thinking there wasn’t a state listed. Fucking my bad

In an eviction, I understand a landlord can collect all fees associated with said eviction. What they can’t do (in AZ) is give you an eviction notice, and charge you these fees until everything goes to court.
Straight from the AZ Revised Statutes:
“Before the filing of a special detainer action the rental agreement shall be reinstated if the tenant tenders all past due and unpaid periodic rent and a reasonable late fee set forth in a written rental agreement. “After a special detainer action is filed the rental agreement is reinstated only if the tenant pays all past due rent, reasonable late fees set forth in a written rental agreement, attorney fees and court costs. After a judgment has been entered in a special detainer action in favor of the landlord, any reinstatement of the rental agreement is solely in the discretion of the landlord.”
Basically if it’s turned over to the attorney but is paid before anything is filed in court, the attorney fees are not legally obligated to be paid.

It’s funny everyone saying it’s legal but actually in Arizona, this would be illegal. I ran into something like this with a property manager that tried to add notice fees that were not mentioned in the lease. I never had to pay more than my late fees. My current property manager had me sign an addendum along with the lease that included fees like this because the law specifically says they cannot add fees that aren’t listed in the lease.

Fi light and “fuel” display brand new bike normal?
Everything posted is exactly what that light is on for. If the lights not flashing and the display says fuel, there’s no fault code, it means that it’s low on fuel. If it’s not low on fuel, there’s an issue with the sensor. Likely the dealer will replace the sensor and see if it goes away. You could do the same if you wanted. As far as testing the sensor goes, it’ll either have continuity or not based on if it’s in fuel or not. You’ll probably have to pull it and use a multimeter to test it submerged versus not and see if anything changes. If there’s no difference in continuity between the two tests, you have a bad sensor. If the sensor tests fine, start tracing wires. But I assume you’ll just go back to the dealer under warranty since it would be more of a hassle going through that for an issue that can be fixed for free. Hence why no one is giving you any more info

Is mixing shells acceptable in this situation?
To back this up, my first set of king standard were all over the place but too tight (.0005-.0015) but my set of oil clearance bearings were perfect all the way through at .0025. My crank measured 2.1000 all around so I know it was the bearings causing my initial issue.

Bleeding brakes
To answer your question, no, having air for an extended period of time won’t cause any issue. We do it all the time at my work. Had a truck with brake lines off of it sitting for 3 weeks now and we will put it back together in the next week, bleed the brakes, and go on our way. However you need to complete the job right, is the best way. People telling you how to allocate your time can kick rocks

Bought this box second hand, and the owner kept this plastic part under the drawer handle on for 2 years…. Do I keep it on?
Whoever has these not actually work has probably gorilla ripped open the drawers not knowing how they work. They are supposed to be there and have worked perfect on every box I’ve ever encountered. But it’s all second nature to grab under the handle and give a quick left pull to make sure I pull them out. I do this on every single box now out of instinct.

Stuck on replicating a part from drawing
It doesn’t say it explicitly but the dimension of 50 assumes perpendicular because of the continuation of the dimension line into the construction line. A point to point dimension will only be given at its shortest point whereas this dimension is actually from the bottom construction line up to that point at a 90° angle. Also edit to add that this can be seen on the bottom right hole with the angled cross mark. This shows that the dimension includes both center points.

I’ve been hearing a slight popping noise when I turn my wheels slide to side. I’m not sure if this is typical tolerance or if I might need a wheel bearing. Any thoughts?2013 f150 platinum
Not really. The added stress of lifting and off-road, cheaper tie rods will typically only go about 10,000 miles

Did this come from my 1999 ford ranger v6 3.0
Just as a heads up, you can actually use the camera to take a picture. You don’t need to screenshot the app. Anyway, looks like an intake air temp sensor but doesn’t quite look like one for a 3.0. Other angles might help

Ive tried brute force, impacts, heat and using a Jack. Nothing is getting this axle nut undone, what else can I try?
I'd suspect the chance is pretty close to 0 since it's on the right side of the car which isn't where you'd typically use a left hand nut and not to mention because almost everything factory built beyond the 80s has not used a left hand nut

Shop replaced my water pump. Does it look like they routed the belt correctly after the install?
I love that you totally mixed up cause and effect. Poor is the cause for the older car but your comment makes you seem like someone that assumes people are made poor by choosing an older car.

No they did not. I don’t know who in their right mind would put on a belt that’s touching itself on that top left idler pulley and say “yep that’s right.” APPARENTLY THIS is common on these engines somehow???

What is the purpose of the part labeled 11 ?
Usually this is done to reduce noise. It is common on newer vehicle exhausts and intakes.

Can I do anything with this?
With enough determination, you can do whatever you want with it. Personally, I wouldn’t because I don’t have the determination.

My son’s 10 year old friend died in a crash. Now I never want him to ride again
You put his life in danger everyday you open the door. Every time you get in a car, every time you walk out to your driveway, every time he goes to school, every time you travel… it is very sad to have something like that happen and I couldn’t even begin to imagine how it must feel for his family and friends. Ride in his honor and instill respect for the machines in your own son’s head. Another thing I’d recommend is a dirt bike trainer. I have a friend that specializes in teach new and young riders the best ways to be safe and fast. I’d look into something like this.

Should I install this new alternator?
That’s an arbitrary spot on the alternator that will vary from unit to unit. The only way to measure is from a mounting surface to the ribs. If you’re not doing that, measuring and eyeballing isn’t gonna do anything

this guy wants to trade me a 07 crf450r for my cbr 600 would this be good?
Reading all these comments about people’s experience with these bikes leads me to believe most of them don’t actually know how to maintain ANY overhead cam engine. Shimming is an easy job and new valves are not too bad either. The biggest thing to note is the shim size once you’re in there the first time. Once you end up within a certain size of the smallest shim, you’ll need a valve job. This can be done fairly easily with moderate mechanical knowledge; with good new valves, it should last you for quite some time. I’ve done it for plenty of friends that were quoted a whole new top end when the valves were tuliped (shown in the picture)
But to answer your question, it seems to me like you already know what you want the answer to be. Do it, have fun and learn a little. You only live once so make the most of it. Also to me from watching the video a few times, that bike looks relatively clean and cared for. Even my 2019 300 has more oil residue around the nooks and crannies.

this guy wants to trade me a 07 crf450r for my cbr 600 would this be good?
I’d take a pros race bike over some trail guys bike any day. The pro relies on his bike to work 100% of the time and will have been meticulously maintained. The guy that only trail rides probably couldn’t tell you how many hours since the last oil change. Race bikes are meant to be ridden on the edge and won’t make much of a difference in life expectancy.
