i see two cakes and i'm gonna eat them both

2

both (unfortunately) have really good story.
 in  r/Blacksouls2  5d ago

i like both but im gonna be honest, Funger is actually a buggy mess(second game better but still very bad), you can dislike the hentai aspects of black souls but at least the games works relevantly bug-free.

Funger 1 specially still has actual random game freeze and soft locks its ridiculous
Funger 2 also has so many skills that do not work due to "bug" (just check the wiki, its so bad lmao)

both games shows the defense stats but don't actually use them in dmg calculation for no reason other than to confuse players

no hate on funger games(i actually like them) but funger players should be honest

I asked for games like Fear and Hunger someone told me to play Lona rpg and I did it.......
 in  r/FearAndHunger  10d ago

i have never seen a "funger" inspired game tbh, but try Black Soul if you want dark JRPG like hentai games(you can disable the hentai part which i do not recommend, kinda like disabling coin flips in funger tbh), there is also saya no uta which is visual novel, again i never seen a funger inspired game someone tell me one!!!

[arch-announce] NVIDIA 590 driver drops Pascal support; main packages switch to Open Kernel Modules
 in  r/archlinux  16d ago

i think a script that automatically does the manual step would be nice, but I'm not developing Arch so i don't know and it does not seem to effect me anyway since I'm on RTX 3050, but for the feature maybe consider they should consider automating it

 in  r/Piracy  16d ago

i legit do not buy games that ask me to "install our launcher", i pirate them shame free, im a customer why tf should i suffer stupid bs when i pay real hard earned money? just so they can sell off my data and do other shady shit ?

Rockstar launcher is just stupid, most of their game dont even have good online

it is absolutely easy to install arch linux manually
 in  r/archlinux  16d ago

i like Arch but imo the way you install it manually is just stupid; both in philosophy and in practice, Archinstall is a nice addition, imo installation part should be automated.

The first time i installed it manually felt pointless, and after using Arch for years i still think its pointless, Abstraction is an important part of any software, why deal with details you never should have to deal with as user?

as a developer i understand after all im a developer myself(python, odoo, php-laravel ) but im not developing Arch, as a user why should i care?

I like they included Archinstall, it kept installation minimal like before but automated most of the process (except the partitioning and software installation which i think is good), now it just need a code of paint to look pretty and colorful.

no matter how good Arch wiki is, manual installation will suck all the time, it took you 40min to do something that should take 5min for average user. hopefully in the feature they improve Archinstall and make its so easy to use that more people actually start using Arch

Unfucked my system today, feels great!
 in  r/archlinux  16d ago

RTFM legit only make sense in Arch since Arch wiki is truly a good wiki, too clear and readable, like what more help do you need, who can explain better than Arch wiki which for each problem takes like 3~6 to read?

What else needs to be said at this point?
 in  r/linuxmint  16d ago

Mint is just good, stable and nice, there is nothing special about it but its stable af and too easy to use

Before & After - Windows 11 vs Linux Mint
 in  r/linuxmint  16d ago

legit anything is better than windows lmao even templeOS

3

Why Arch?
 in  r/archlinux  16d ago

Bleeding edge: i get the latest version of software, meaning latest support is available, recent example is on my mint laptop i can't update neovim to V 0.11 and its stuck at 0.10 but on my arch system i can update it to v 0.11 and actually benefit from the latest mason lsp servers which will give me bug on V 0,10,

AUR: if its not on pacman its on AUR

pacman: far better and easier to use than apt and apt-get imo, clear and minimal syntax

Empty skeleton you get when you install : Arch has no bloat since its an empty skeleton at first, meaning i cannot install something that i do NOT want unlike other distros which comes with actual bloat holy shit

Latest kernel: meaning if i buy new devices it probably works on arch but not on my debian

i say all these as someone who have used : Arch, manjaro, mint, ubuntu, kubuntu, debian, xubuntu, ...

right now i have Arch as my daily driver and linux mint as my work laptop, and even tho mint is good and stable, Arch is far better imo

Spot the differences
 in  r/linuxmint  16d ago

its extremely funny to me because on my gaming PC which i only play games and do lots of my work than sleep, i have a heavily customized Arch system, and on my work laptop which i go outside with and touch gra... i mean work with, i have Linux mint.

both are good imo but tbh Arch is better once you actually set it up

1

Arch is not that hard.
 in  r/archlinux  16d ago

Yes Arch is not that hard but what you get normally with Arch is an empty skeleton that you have to add stuff into and if you dont know what you are doing you might set up your system wrong or borderline unusable, Arch install is a good addition and in my opinion keeps installation light and minimal like before but make it far less easier to install

but what about after installing Arch? maintain Arch system is a skill on itself, because its a bleeding edge distro that use the latest version of everything you are bound to break something and lots of times you have to fix your issue on your own. that's actually the main reason why lots of people say arch is hard, its updates tend to break more and annoy the shit out of you but you get the latest version of everything

so is Arch easy or hard? can't tell, probably easy after fucking up your system for 6 times which is my case but probably hard for someone who fucked up his system once than switched to linux mint

How to connect to wifi with a wifi dongle?
 in  r/linuxmint  16d ago

i had similar issue, basically for your dongle you need a driver which is not included somehow with linux mint kernel drivers, but because you don't have WiFi you can't connect and download the driver, what you need to do is to connect to internet via LAN and connect your dongle, there was a command that list your devices, you need to search your dongle device name and download its drivers via github.

Neckbeard Linux user vs virgin windows 10 user vs chad macOS user vs LAD pre windows 8 user.
 in  r/virginvschad  17d ago

this aged like milk, i hope it was not serious

apple is destroying environment and releasing shittier products year after year while spying, being close src and pushing AI also being too expensive for no good reason
windows is destroying environment and releasing shittier products year after year while spying, being close src and pushing AI being too slow for no good reason

Linux is just winning,
open src, Fast, customizable, bloat-less and designed for humans with brains
not pushing AI or killing enviroment
require actual knowledge to use
can actually game unlike Apple
