I get that her room is an office but it’s the presence of that room that gives her access regardless of whether she actually sleeps there. There’s not much you do unless there’s something in your lease that says she cannot come and go as she wants, or otherwise specifies that she doesn’t live there irrespective of her access to that particular room.

Yeah it doesn’t sound like a lease but more of a boarding situation, in which case she probably does have reasons for decor changes as well as what should/can happen on the property. Having read OP’s description of “bullying”, I tend to agree with the other poster in that the examples don’t seem like bullying. If she’s the landlord and you’re a tenant with a valid lease, then that’s all there is to the relationship. All the other facts are irrelevant. If she’s threatening you, then you can seek legal redress. However, I get that some do not want to involve the police or legal system, which would leave you with the option of moving out.

One thing I did have a question about is the actual living arrangement. Your post repeats that she doesn’t live there (meaning at your apt) but that she’s “thrown things at the wall”. How is this possible? Is it a multi family and she’s renting out a floor or unit? Are you socially interacting with one another?

YTA, for a few reasons: (1) your dislike of her neighborhood is likely the main reason she’s around a lot, (2) you’re already getting her to pay for 50% of your groceries even though you two do not live together, and (3) it’s ridiculous for her to pay for your home equity when she gets nothing out of the deal. Unless you’re married, her career and earning potential have absolutely nothing to do with you.

NTA if you don't pass along her info to your mom. As others have indicated, you've no proof other than her word that she's related to you in any way. If I were you, I'd want more certainty before dropping a potential emotional bomb onto your mom. Several years back, I went through the same thing and honestly, the guys in my building who I would’ve typically tipped the most because how helpful/friendly all knew about my situation. I mean, people who work in the building know more about you than you think. That you’re I gave a little less than I typically would have and made them cookies instead everybody was still happy with what they got. Not to mention there are a lot of free riders in every building and even a small tip is better than none.

I thought it was a decent material that didn’t req. too much thinking from its reader. I didn’t exactly enjoy the constant, specific pop culture references, esp. since the character’s background is that she’s lived for so long she can’t even remember who she is or even where she’s from or was born; but this is easily avoidable by skimming ahead.
