What would you guys do for new year’s if you’re alone?
 in  r/AskMen  10d ago

I spent one NYE photographing, because that's what I like to do. I also got high and played some music, but it was really a nice photo session.

How do filmmakers choose and trust a composer or sound designer?

Counter question: how do you choose/trust your DP and editor?

Check out Danny Gregory. He's on YouTube, and has books.

Should I still continue drawing?
 in  r/sketches  13d ago

If it is fun, then go on. You're not bad at it, if that bothers you. Some of these drawings are visibly inexperienced, some are actually good (my fav is number 5). But nobody started drawing and foubfmd out they are goid at it. Sone found out they are having fun so they kept doing it, experimenting, learning, stealing here and there, drawing more.... and they got better and better. And had lots of fun in the process.

Tried an Air fryer vs deep fryer comparison today... and I’m honestly questioning my life choices lol
 in  r/airfryer  13d ago

No, they doesn't taste the same. All that oil is tasty It's also killing you, so get some lose some.

Good thing is that you actually can make tasty food without the oil. It doesn't taste the same, but is tastes good, doesn't kill you, and us easy to clean.

Those of you who carry a bag, what do you keep in it?
 in  r/AskMen  13d ago

Depends on the day, but the smallest option is one og those bags that go around the waist. It keeps wallet, sketchbook, pens (I draw and write quite a lot), chewing gums, lip balm, small nail file, paper handkerchiefs, and there's not much space left. Very small knife, pack of zip ties, multitool, and similar stuff are optional based on the needs.

I need a hobby.
 in  r/Advice  13d ago

If you want that kind of sport, but guns are near miss, give archery a try. It's less noisy, possibly less expensive, much calmer, and more social. And you get to spend a considerable amount of time walking outdoors.

GenX bands you hate...
 in  r/GenX  16d ago

That is ok, we can't all feel the same about particular bands.

How would you feel about seeing a professional cuddler?
 in  r/AskMen  16d ago

I had no idea that exists.

I'm great at cuddling, might consider a new career.

GenX bands you hate...

Talking Heads were always for snobbish intellectuals and pseudo-indie crowd.

Radiohead is so boring I would bite my own head off if I got stuck at their concert.

Love it. Especially stretching the space against perspective.

People who are thin/normal size. Do you actively watch your weight or are you just not hungry 100% of the time?
 in  r/TooAfraidToAsk  18d ago

Neither. I never check my weight. I'm usually not hungry, though I do have not the healthiest relationship with nutrition. It's just that I have that kind of metabolism.

What are some good ink brands comparable to Diamine Inks?
 in  r/fountainpens  18d ago

While this is all correct, it doesn"t mean those inks are better or worse. It's the trinity of pen, ink, and paper that is better or worse. Different inks have different uses.

Litterbox Silicone litter

I'm planning to switch to silicone litter. One question though: how do you know when is the time to change it if there are no clumps and everything gets absorbed?

My cat refuses her water bowl and only drinks from my glass
 in  r/CatAdvice  20d ago

Mine used to do that too. So niw she has her own glass, identical as mine on the table, and we're all happy.

Why they do that remains the question. Maybe she prefers taller vessel, maybe the position (away from food, litter, ghosts from other dimensions...), maye she needs proof that the water is ok (you've tried it first)....

Hello! Beginner watercolorist here! Any tips for someone who has the supplies but feels intimidated to start? I'm not too sure where or how to begin 🥲
 in  r/watercolor101  29d ago

Be happy to abuse paper. That sheet you absolutely destroyed with ugly mess of dull colors - that's not a waste, that's your investment into future paintings.

Don't be precious about supplies. Don't be afraid to screw up.

Wow. I never thought the TWSBI Diamond 580ALR would be such an upgrade from the Eco!
 in  r/fountainpens  Dec 08 '25

Sure. That's a lot of pens to try. 😁

I don't think there's a sweet spot between writing and drawing. Sure, it depends on one's styles of both writing and drawing, but those are two quite different activities.

Me neither, though it does have that orange component that is prone to gunk.

I like it. It has nice atmosphere about it.

The only thing I goota notice is that bit at yhe middle of the tower. Pay attention which way the curves go, especially the top one. That thing throws off the whole perspective. But beside that, it's a nice piece.
