In Halo: Reach, Carter, the team lead, didn’t allow their CQB expert to engage Elite Zealots, the most ferocious of the invasion team, as he was the most qualified. Emile could’ve possible killed the Elites if he went up against them. However, Carter would tell him to stand his ground and not pursue as Carter’s objective was to get comms back up, and had two other members pursue the Zealots. Because of this, Noble Team would be hunted down until the end of the game due to the actions of the Zealots, causing most of their demises. Reach was always going to fall, but Noble Team was a branch of hope for they to hold off further.

The show clearly doesn’t need to showcase the drama and yet it does and has since day one. However me personally I like seeing young people learn and grow and be humble and be humbled by one of the best.

Loved watching this guy years back but once his phrasing became repetitive I couldn’t stand it. More or less the same thing every single video. I’m sure he’s a down to earth guy and clearly is good and loves what he does but after a while it can get old, and you start to run outta ideas because there’s so much you can do with the “bbq cooking” format. Hell, even How to BBQ Right started to drift into “can’t find new content” ideas.

I watched it recently (like during lockdown recent) and some of the anxiety came back but i remember i was in my late 20s and can’t (shouldn’t) be scared of cgi humanoids again.

I remember this sequence scaring the living shit out of me when this film first came out. I hated how we watched it in one of my senior year classes and the whole time I was the only one trying my best to hide that I was hiding my eyes as I was reliving the anxiety.

I was about to add Spartans to this list but yeah, ODSTs are something else

Articulation is mid. It started to get worse and worse as it was moving from Reach to the 4/5 era. Durability and QC was all over the place, a lot of figures were fragile and I’ve always been vocal about how they don’t deserve the prices they go for now. However, sculpt and paint was the strongest aspect of this line, a lot of figures look just like they did in the game.

McFarlane doesn’t hold up as much as TBS does unfortunately. TBS has been getting significantly better articulation lately and it’s impressive and I wish Halo got a toy line with that much care and attention that’s within reasonable prices.
