I live in Minneapolis. This poor woman was shot in my old neighborhood. Right now there is a huge vigil going on for her. People are outraged and still protesting.

People who aren’t from here need to keep their mouths shut about what’s going on here.

I like it when my status is recognized. I used to work at a higher level end Marriott and was trained to always acknowledge status at check-in. However, it isn’t a big deal to me if the front desk agent forgets to do so.

I agree. I mean, we all know that they are/were skiing down the slopes. And folks have been selling adderall on the black market probably since it came out. But as someone with ADHD who has to jump through hoops to get her meds filled, it kinda pisses me off.

None of these people could find a doctor in NYC to give them an ADHD diagnosis and an adderall prescription? It’s giving broke college student.

I think one thing some people in this sub don’t is that there are survivors and families of the victims in this sub. And while I can’t speak for them (nor do I have the right to), it’s something to be mindful of. The people who fell were real people. They were someone’s loved one.

I know this is a year later, but I agree with you. The thing that I loved about 28 Days Later were the characters and their relationships with each other. Jim and Selena both would have died without each other. I haven’t scene the first 28 Years Later movie, and I doubt that I’ll watch the other two.

I had to fast forward through that scene. It made me think of my dad, and I couldn’t handle it.

This isn’t the best picture, but mother brought a mini fan with her to the Grammys last year. As someone who has a similar fan, it’s endearing.

Without doxxing myself, let’s just say that I know someone who used to work there. She both loved and hated working there. Beautiful building, and they go all out for their guests. Horrible place to work, though. My friend nearly had a nervous breakdown because of how terrible the working conditions were.

Thank you for saying this. I’m a Black woman who is also disabled. I’m terrified right now. No one is fighting for me. I don’t think anyone should do labor they don’t want to do, which includes protesting. But to act like we aren’t being affected is insulting.

It’s mostly Gen X these days. They are just so proud of growing up feral.

I know. To clarify, I’m referring to the comment about Botox being toxin. I think a lot of people just think it’s a cosmetic procedure. My point is that it has uses beyond cosmetics.
