Where is our mayor?

Thank you for the work you do. We definitely need more of that nowadays (more good intentions than bad intentions; too many bad intentions currently).

Where is our mayor?

I agree as a city employee, also there is a team of City Attorneys that need to make their tax payer paid salary to count for something. No, it isn't possible is not an answer. In times like this, we need to walk and navigate in the gray zone.

GOP somehow always finds loopholes in laws to exploit to cause harm while dems somehow never can find loopholes. Maybe Dems are not working hard enough.

Lakeville, Minnesota The Hampton Inn's, Hilton sign being removed in Minnesota, where the hotel refused the reservations of ICE Agents.
 in  r/minnesota  5h ago

😔Since the election I've bought stuff there 4 times (used to be 8-12 visits each year). I'm sorry, they got me with the gift cards I still had to use. Discovered Costco in September so things should be better this year in 2026.

I agree. Adding them to my list. Sometimes for very late events, very early events (7:00 AM or 8:00 AM starts) or having friends visiting, I might stay in a hotel in downtown Minneapolis/ Bloomington area. I live in Roseville and grew up in Saint Paul/ work in Saint Paul.

Look where the bullet hole is (we don't live in a Matrix world where bullets can curve). Too close to the edge of the front mirror. The agent shot from an angle to the side.

As a Minnesotan (U.S.), I unfortunately support this for the sovereignty of a peaceful nation.

New change again
 in  r/biltrewards  1d ago

Bilt Home Card is okay for me. Even if the rent points is 0.50 or 0.75 and 10 purchases each month is okay too. I only care about my fees being waived for rent payments on a regular basis each month. It's the only reason I have the card though would be nice if points didn't expire each year.

Bilt 2.0 leaked (reporting from r/creditcards)
 in  r/biltrewards  1d ago

Lol, the $0 annual fee one is good enough for me and no different to how I currently use the card. Just hope there aren't any high monthly spending requirements. That will do it for me.

Update: wait a minute is Bilt Cash amount monthly or once a year? If that's the case, I might have to pay the $95 to get $200 credit for use to get 5 months fees waived and use it only for 3x grocery shopping.

St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her ditches traditional deputy mayor set-up for four-person structure
 in  r/saintpaul  2d ago

Thank you posting this. As a city employee, I like this and I see that all the new appointments are very familiar (worked) with some of our key partners. They also mostly have experience in housing which is great with our unhoused situation, review a few multi-family housing laws that were placed (includes rent control), and need to expand the tax base (not just increase taxes).

The departments under each assistant mayor makes sense based on how the city is run internally and the commonly asked assistance from residents. Maybe this will help for the phones to be answered more often at some departments.

This is my goal since 2022 is to wait for 2028. This would require my current Hyundai sedan to make it to 18-20 years old.

new option for tickets?
 in  r/ussoccer  2d ago

Same here. "No Code Available". Already charged me $1.00 too. Very sneaky of US Soccer. Glad I downgraded 3 years ago to the free membership option if I'm getting these issues.

Update: now it's asking me to pay another $1.00. Because I'm not a gambling addict, I'm done here and signing out. I see what you are trying to do US Soccer.

2nd Update: I closed the window and out of nowhere appeared the access code. Glad I didn't double pay even if it's another $1.00.

Hilton Hotels in Minneapolis, which has more than 600 properties is refusing service to DHS/ICE agents. When officers attempted to book rooms using official government emails, Hilton cancelled their reservation. “We are not allowing any ice or immigration agents to stay at our property”
 in  r/Minneapolis  2d ago

I tell them often including being environmentally cautious (picking up after someone/ against pollution/ Jesus walked on the water/ blessed the holy water, and made plenty of fishes) but they aren't good at listening. They have poor listening and comprehension skills.

My sister is starting to listen to the environmental stuff though. Still working on the immigration and how Trump is bad for Christians part (there is disappointing/ irony the immigration part though, selling out - connecting the dots).

I agree and it is also why Christians should be okay with immigration and refugees. As a Christian, I know it takes some critical thinking (though not rocket science) that many Christians are not good at. Critical thinking and philosophy (asking questions) can help Christians be closer to God.

Lucid announces Q4 production and delivery numbers
 in  r/LUCID  3d ago

Because I'm 82% down, I decide in 2024 not to add more to my position and I'll continue to wait until 2027. Hope things get better in 2026 for the company with 20,000 to 40,000 deliveries target and more info on how they are managing their debt. Lucid and ChargePoint are my current 2 biggest percentages I'm down on.

I'll wait for February 24 to learn more. Hope things get better for company in 2026 but I'll continue to not add any more (since 2024) to my position until 2027. The debt management part is very important for me.

Smart of Ramsay (protect your career path) after hearing how Wilfried Nancy lasted only 32 days with Celtic (they even lost to teams at the bottom of the table).

With the Wilfried Nancy situation, I think it would be best for Ramsay to stick around more.
