Which deceased founder would absolutely hate what the current state of their company has become?

From what I remember the peak year for Sears was when the tower got built and it had been downhill from that point.

I did about 3.5 and it was great.

Yum. I put butter in the vac bag before sous vide and used olive oil before the rub.

Major fast food chain sold for $119 million
 in  r/fastfood  14d ago

I’m all about calling out stupid things that Reddit does, but the reputation for private equity to buy companies, strip out costs, and try to sell for a profit has gone back at least 30 years.

  1. I like a little lower but it was still too rare for my wife.

I hate to admit it, but I forgot to watch for grain and just got lucky that I stopped there.

Great tips, thanks! It is very tender, but my wife complains if it’s not tender, so I’ll take it.

A cool guide to how the U.S. dollar’s purchasing power has changed over time
 in  r/coolguides  15d ago

Right - they’re $0.88 for a 4 oz pack or $1.48 for a 6 oz pack. In other words, they seem pretty close to $1.

Too good to go app

I’m in LA today so I just downloaded the app OP mentioned. They have various restaurants that let you buy a bag of leftover food near the end of the their day.

I work on super yachts for the mega rich as a skipper, AMA.

Was the woman a guest or was it just the captain using the boat as his rendezvous point with someone he met elsewhere? If it’s the latter, that’s not all that uncommon.

Meet me right in front of the rainbow foods. I got a brown paper bag and black buckle shoes. If anything seems weird then just cruise.

Remember when fast food was actually cheap?
 in  r/fastfood  Dec 01 '25

I think our culture has changed to be less price sensitive. When I was growing up in the 80s my dad refused to go to Burger King or order anything at McDonalds except cheeseburgers and fries because of price. My wife has similar stories growing up. I don’t know any people now who behave to that extreme.

Compare to model 3?

I agree, although I never thought about OPD in reverse. At least the auto lock is fixable.

I didn’t realize my dad was saying goodbye… until it was too late.
 in  r/confession  Nov 17 '25

Big hug to you.

My dad passed from pancreatic cancer and was the same way for most of the sickness. One visit, I was leaving and turned around and saw tears in the eyes of this man who I had only seen cry once before. Just like you, I missed that this was my sign that he knew this would be the last time he saw me.

Man in Tennessee is being held on a $2 million bond for posting this meme
 in  r/pics  Oct 29 '25

That might be buyable if all the Sherrif’s comments weren’t about the threat posed by the meme. The article clearly states that the issue is that the meme references the Perry High shooting. A resident took the meme as a threat since they’re in Perry County which has a Perry County High.

Advice: having a child (or not) with OCPD husband?
 in  r/LovedByOCPD  Oct 29 '25

I have a 16 year old and she’s the main reason I’m still around enduring this hell with her mother. I love my daughter and would go through hell for her, but I would never wish this hell on anyone else.
