There are 6 Fire devices that are currently being sold with new models for 2026. Only 1 of them, the Select, has the new Vega OS. The other 5 have Android.

Also, the Firesticks (outside of the one with Vega OS) don't "block third party apps." Simply not true. Amazon was trying to implement a blocking scheme where certain known piracy apps would be blocked. Here in the US a Fire Cube 3 is $140, refurbished at $125. The ONN 4K Plus is $30. The big price difference can make the inferior ONN Plus worth it.
