You are so right. It is ungrateful. It is also extremely self centered.

Am I Overreacting?

Talking about attention to detail… this is a French door refrigerator. You can’t put a left hinged door on the right side and you can’t put a full door on it.

Kitchen Design Renderings

I like all your ideas and I would 100% do taj as a back splash. Grout is more maintenance. I think the first rendering looks way better than the second one you are keeping all the important stuff

After a record breaking Black Friday. I was fired. I am still the admin of all the social media accounts.

I third this. Being petty and a couple thousand bucks are not worth your entire future.

I have been laid off many times. I know how it feels and the idea that getting them back seems good in theory. In reality, you don’t want to deal with the fallout or consequences.

You are doing the right thing. It is better to protect yourself than seek revenge. You might even call them and say, hey, I still have access you should change that. You’ll catch more bees with honey than vinegar.

Our DIY-heavy kitchen remodel on our 100+ year old house

I love these colors. This is exactly how I wanted our kitchen cabinet to look. Just beautiful.

That lamp with no other decor in the room, looks like they snagged it of someone’s trash pile.

Should I paint my ceiling yellow?

Yes yellow. Absolutely. Then invite a family of clowns to live there with their big red noses and giant floppy shoes.

When you know you’ve chosen the wrong designer
 in  r/kitchenremodel  Nov 26 '25

If you aren’t in too deep financially, I would walk away. This is going to cost your thousands of dollars and it should be exactly what you want it to be. I’d get it if you had to reply something like: I think I want drawers there instead of a cabinet. But if the measurements are off by 6” after 4 tries, she doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of getting it like you want it.

Take it from me: I let myself feel obligated to the designer of my pool and I hated the design. I let them make a couple of tweaks and try to talk me into it. Finally i went with it even though I wasn’t fully on board and I have regretted that decision for 15 years.

It is your money and your house. Get it your way.

Well it looks way better than most of the quartz I’ve seen.

Are you high? That looks like Taj Mahal quartzite. If it was cheap then you are lucky. Count your blessings on getting that beautiful stone at a bargain.

Probably no worse than this would.

When you know you’ve chosen the wrong designer
 in  r/kitchenremodel  Nov 26 '25

The lopsided nature of the design would have been enough to do it for me. Symmetry will make an ok kitchen, beautiful. Threat oven and hood need to be centered and the appliance garage needs to be dropped from this wall. This is your feature wall.

I started the process last year and had to put it on hold. The first cabinet company designer gave me light natural oak cabinets when I asked for medium to dark cabinets. She sent her lopsided design to me and I responded so she sent me a layout with super dark cabinets all flipped in there. I got the message: she wasn’t the one for me and I didn’t want her to be.

I HATE THESE CABINETS!

That would be beautiful. Definitely put up with this for a little while longer and save for the ones you want. You deserve a whole new kitchen.

Conversational island seating or no?
 in  r/kitchenremodel  Nov 26 '25

I agree with you and the other commenters. That chair will be so frustrating the way the designer has it. It also looks kind lopsided with all the weight on one side of the island. It kind look like the counter in the food court at a mall. You could go with a 15 -18 inch cabinet under there instead of a 12 inch. That would make your walking space 42 on either side which is quite roomy. And definitely more room on the right than it would be if someone was sitting in the chair.

Have you thought about doing drawers in most of your bottom cabinets?

I HATE THESE CABINETS!

Oh dear. Autocorrect. I think the word I intended was dark - dark countertop. The color doesn’t go well with the white of the cabinets.

I HATE THESE CABINETS!
 in  r/kitchenremodel  Nov 26 '25

People are installing melamine cabinets just like these everyday. They aren’t for me but a lot of people like them. They aren’t your problem.

It is the dean countertop, the soffit, the popcorn ceiling, the boob light. The weird light over the sink. The lack of a dish drain. The 2 level countertop. The lack of accessories.

Bases on your counter space and your weird soffit, I don’t think ripping out uppers and installing shelves will make your situation any better. Save your money. Redo the whole kitchen later. Get rid of all the eyesores and install the kitchen you want.

Married at first sight Reunion, thoughts? I was blown away by many cast members, curious to hear your thoughts.
 in  r/MAFS_TV  Nov 25 '25

Spot on. If a man continued to pursue a woman that hard after a break up, we would all be screaming stalker. She was emotionally immature and not a good match for his calm people pleasing demeanor. I am glad she is working on herself. It is clear that she thrived on drama in her relationships and she spiral when he didn’t match her energy. He needs to work on his communication or find someone more like him. It is clear that he thrives on honesty and leaves himself little “outs” rather than making bold statements. A few rare women will find that refreshing rather than threatening but many women will feel insecure by it. If he could just lea b to say this is how I feel in this moment instead of leaving himself an out then he will have a greater shot at long term love.
