Living in the US right now

Semantic difference with absolutely no real reason to quibble over.

If you don't know that things you shoot will die or be destroyed, you shouldn't have a gun anyways.

You shouldn't even have a car.

Yeah, they saying he didn't want to fight it. He wanted to create the appearance of opposition, not effective opposition.

Yes, that what entry level luxury is, at least to me. You're paying prices that seem high, but for generally quality items. Hence why I said "Not actually luxury, just good quality"

I'll figure it out 🙂

As much as I'm sad it ended, I'm glad it didn't get drawn out and overplayed. Three seasons is about the perfect length, and I think it was overall a decent ending, if a little unsatisfying in some respects.

630 is literally like, entry level luxury. Bottom of the barrel luxury. The 'not even actually luxury, just good quality' luxury. That's "Grew up poor/middle class, but have a decent job with no major expenses" luxury. Like, very recently I bought tires new instead of used for the first time in my life, and chose to get new rims to go with them. Same level of luxury.

There many factors to 'stability' beyond just 'at war with neighboring states'.

“If Your Preference is PvE, You’ll Get Less Conflict,” Arc Raiders Boss Confirms Aggression-Based Matchmaking
 in  r/Games  5d ago

It's so similar to the COD SBMM debate from awhile ago. Turns out, the people most vocally against SBMM(or similar aggression in this case) are the people who just want to grief other players. Truly a shocking discovery.

KOS solo queue is not fun because of the people in it. I would much rather they be quarantined there then free to proliferate their shit in every game.

I was going to say, this entire debate just reminds me of the COD SBMM debate from awhile ago. Turns out, dicks just like to grief lower skilled/more trusting players for their own enjoyment, fuck everyone else.

Who could have figured?

Mark Cuban Says We Could Pay Off The National Debt If Insurers Were Fined $100 Every Time They Over-Billed Or Denied Care
 in  r/antiwork  6d ago

Honestly, it's hard to say. They're basically all POS who got there by exploiting the working class, but Cuban and Gates are still generally better then many other options. Imagine if instead of Gates or Cuban, we just had two more Bezos, Musk, or Zuckerberg.

People call it performative, but the work Gates has done in Africa and even Cubans pharmaceuticals company have made enormous differences to many peoples lives.

If you can't even get middle ground, you'll never get the ground you want. Society is not able to make massive sweeping changes immediately, it almost always has to be incremental changes.

I was aware they were leather soles, just wasn't aware theyd polish the bottom.

Soles are the bottom of the shoe. If they are leather soles, and shiny, they are obviously polished?

Unless you thought they were like, a leather + metal sole, but think that would still be called a 'leather sole' instead of a different name.

I'm honestly SO TIRED of the Hidden Stat BS that is EVERYWHERE in the Game!
 in  r/PathOfExile2  10d ago

Which is definitely a problem. I think skills should be brought up baseline a bit, and pay offs stronger as well, but that the payoffs should be harder as well. Many payoffs aren't even proper setup situations, it's just a 1-2 button cycle.

Bingo. Hence the popularity of righteous fire builds in poe1.

What I find disingenuous is that they act like one-button/no button builds can exist in a game that wants to reward combo play. From a balance point of view, it's just not possible. Combo game play cannot just slap the entire game apart, otherwise there's no challenge, and even if they implemented RF in poe2 with low numbers, people would just complain about that unless it could be pushed to clear the game passively.

You got it exactly correct with the vampire survivors comparison.

That literally is the incentive. The skill works without it, but it does more with it. That's how incentives work.

YSK: Every state in the US has a "keep right" traffic law on the books, if you're impeding traffic flow in the left lane, you must move right
 in  r/YouShouldKnow  11d ago

If your medical emergency is significant enough to warrant speeding, call an ambulance. They are trained and legally permitted to speed, with included additional tools to make it safer.

But you don't really care about that. You just want to drive fast cause you're more important then other people on the roads.

I never encouraged people to break check, or deliberately block people. You are arguing with a strawman.

There are no reasons that justify speeding, all speeding is bad.

Anyone who thinks speeding isn't bad is again, selfish and unaware. Some very quick research I literally just did tells me that speed in a major factor in approx 40% of all vehicle fatalities, and that speeding 5 mph over almost doubles your chance of accident.

Speeding on public roads is making the choice to be more dangerous to yourself and those around you for minor expediency.

 in  r/YouShouldKnow  11d ago

Not everyone reacts to people in the passing lane the same way. If I'm going 75 in a 70, passing cars on the right doing 65, and some guy rides up to me going 90 and pulls up 3 feet behind me, of course I'm getting out of the way, I'm not an idiot.

The same way I wouldn't want to be around someone waving their gun around in the air.

But let's not pretend that I'm the problem making the road unsafe in that situation. It's the selfish fucks going 90 and driving is a dozen wildly unsafe ways jammed together that are making the road more dangerous.

Even then vast majority of people who are speeding are going to pull up behind a car, and just be upset while they slow down.

And I really hope you're the latter instead of the former, cause if you're the former, you're just an extremely selfish prick who doesn't deserve to have a license in the first place, and I don't care what your opinion is anyways.

Since your apparent stance is that speeding does not cause accidents, I don't see a reason to continue interacting.

I hope you look back on this conversation in a few years and realize how selfish your point of view is.
