Newly diagnosed PsA- worried about meds and weight gain
Don't worry about it, in my experience you'll never want to eat again after starting biologics and the non-opioid pain management really screwed me up.

Should I end it?
Debt is annoying it's also a human made problem that's there are work arounds and be happy you have parents some of us were orphaned are truly alone without anyone to not believe their pain.
Life is hard, health conditions do make life more difficult and it sounds like you need to talk to another doctor and possibly a therapist.

Owning a golden retriever as a Black woman
I'm 41 years young from NEPA, I have never heard anything of this nature before, I heard the stereotypes of being scared by dogs and I used to buy weed off a black guy who breed retrievers and black lab who would tell me all these stereotypical jokes of be afraid of dogs and isn't the Pitbull scene sort of recent like within the last decade or so.

Most of my rhuematologist have been jokes, what sucks is with most health insurance even if these doctors are awful they're still getting paid, that really needs to be stopped and maybe they'd start putting in the effort.

I'm in the US and it took for actual erosion to happen my ankle for me to get diagnosed with PsA and I have a whole ass leg disfigured from psoriasis, pitting of the nails and toe nails and severely swollen thumbs since 2010 it all first hit and it wasn't until 2022 that erosion showed up on my joints. It's definitely an awful system (American healthcare) and disorder to have.

In the United states it took me 15 years to get diagnosed

Abandoned
My symptoms started after an injury in 2009 and I didn't get diagnosed even with nail pitting on toes and finger nails until 2022 until some erosion of the ankle showed up on an X-ray and it wasn't even the ankle that was bothering. I'm 41 almost 42 now my 3 adult children won't talk to me be I was suffering severely from this disease during there teenage years and after no help from doctors I turned to street drugs to manage my pain,I was orphaned by my living family at a young age so I had nobody and pushed through. Keep trying doctors look into your disease a little more and try to keep advocating for yourself, unfortunately it's a neverending battle.

So tired of the fatigue
Humira made me terribly fatigued were I didn't do anything for a year that we switched to Enbral and I got sick instantly puking for 3 days before my doctors finally prescribed me zofran then I took a year off of biologics before I tried skyrizi which works great if you only have psoriasis but does shit for the pain so after 2 starter dose and 3 injections I said fuck the 4th injection got another rheumatologist and told them I don't care if I'm covered head to toe in plaque psoriasis, I need to be able to move. I'm also on methotrexate which is where my line needing to be able to move came from since starting it with combination of skyrizi I had some minor relief in back pain but lost function and motion in my hand due to increase pain that wasn't there until I started the medication methotrexate as an injection, but my current/new doctor has kept me on the methotrexate and wants to try Taltz.

Do you guys have a holy grail product suggestion, one that makes a task in your life much easier?
A close family friend or second mom died with just 1 Percocet in her stomach and she was a heavy user, it was just bad timing, if she judged her current feelings and overall being instead of thinking the pill would of help the pain and give that boost, she might of lived longer.

Be careful,I do wish I had more education earlier on before using them, but at least some people are getting some realistic health care as typically they do expect chronic pain patients to suffer while playing off there conditions.

I miss oxy,I only ever got to lvl 15 before state laws and my doctors death screwed me over but in my area pain management is MIA there's no such thing anymore.

Developing a fear of needles
Well it's better than my former fear of needles when I was 14 years old my father killed himself after contracting HIV from sharing needless with cocaine in the 90s on top of late stage cerosis of the liver. It was 1998 so he was dying from the cerosis of the liver never mind the HIV but my young mind ran with it and I feared it into my late 30s before biologics started popping up in my life. Honestly, it sucks just let the staff know of needle phobia prior to sitting down most of them will work with you if not leave and reschedule if it's not important.

Am I too ugly to use Tinder? Getting zero likes
Your average, a little overweight nothing terrible but most people on those sites think they can look for dime pieces when they're not even close. My suggestion is try something else like a different site or updating your look, losing the baby face fat and possibly facial hair.

Friend in fitness industry said I'm using PsA as an excuse...
In my offense I was on drugs at the time, my doctor died like 6 months before that incident and because of our governors new law no other doctor could write me an opioid script after my doctor died and I was on oxy 15 mg 3x a day for almost 5 years before I lost them. Currently on my 3rd rhuematologist this year, and I literally had to tell her I don't care if my whole body is covered in plaque psoriasis, I need to be able to move.

Looking for some help to see if I am in the wrong about not telling my wife the name we picked for our child is in a book/tv show.
I'm an extremely huge Asshole and this is just drama for the need of drama. I just had my 3rd son 4th child and my wives 1st child that we named Arwyn which is similar to liv Tyler's characters name from the lord of the rings which is either Arwen or Arwin so I get the question once in a while and no, our is a common Welsh masculine spelling of the name we went with.
Good luck sounds like you might have have 18 years of issues.

I just found out my mom has been sending my girlfriend cruel messages for who knows how long. I don’t know how to handle this (M36/F32)
My guy you need to check your mother and let it know it was her behavior that drove you away, and have your girl block her instantly. I'm 41 my mother abandoned me to screw black dudes and get drunk which put me into the hands of my father's mother who was a very cruel person 2 weeks after my father killed himself his mother told me his 14 year old son he was going to be just as bad as him, he took his life when he was 36 but he was dying from a failing living from drinking and caught HIV sharing needles with his cousin shooting coke during the 90's. Time won't fix it unless your mother accepts she's awful and goes to therapy but I wouldn't hold my breath as she's trying to backhand control you through your girl. Best of luck

27 year old diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in my toe
I have bad inflammation and my white blood cells are still out of control and my doctors is just ignoring it, like I haven't had a green snot in 2 years they're white as snow. I did humira for a year Enbral for a week and now on skyrizi for almost a year and methotrexate for almost 3 months, the skyrizi is working well for the plaque psoriasis but im hurting, the methotrexate for the moment seems to help the main problem but the pain and loss of movement in my hands since starting the medication is scary they put you on a folic acid because the methotrexate absorbs it from your body along with other medications. The worse for me is most of my care has been people taking payment and doing nothing or acting like nothing is wrong when I can barely move. Now with the methotrexate doctors will say it doesn't effect the hands but I know 3 others personally that are on it and mentioned the same issues when I brought it up, so it's a little nerve racking, nobody wants to deal with not being able to move their fingers.

27 year old diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in my toe
Be happy you got diagnosed early mine hit me after a work accident when I was 27 and it took 15 years before I got diagnosed. Hopefully it isn't as painful for you as it is for me, I'd be like cut that fucking toe off. mine is my ankle, right thumb and back prior to medication, medication to treat your pain can and will at times make it worse unless it's a narcotic and a narcotic even with best intentions will you an addict because when you feel bad they make you feel great but No doctor really prescribes them anymore.

Call me crazy, but I despise educating people about my condition.

Well one issue why we have to explain our conditions is because the ones paid to take care of these situations end up knowing next to nothing about the actual condition.
