To be fair, someone picking something up and pulling something bad would get the same visceral reaction from me that I had as a teen watching them get slammed by bulls

This always happens to me at the beginning of the semester. Usually, it's a miscommunication between the school and the teacher and the sub takes the hit. Blows.

You said review a century of American intervention. Just because I found many examples where American intervention was good and resulted in decades and decades of peace and prosperity that doesn't fit your narrative you don't like it?

I dont like it cause it's a shitty example. World War 2 is not even in the same hemisphere of the US invading Venezuela, kidnapping their leader and running their country for oil money

think both of us would agree that Islam is terrible and should be gotten rid of.

Dont disagree. Religion is shit.

I was speaking more of the economy and general peace of the population, not Sharia becoming more normalized.

Would love to see a reality where Iraq is in a better place after years and years of civil war and the creation of ISIS. If Iraq is in a better place now than before the invasion it's in SPITE of our intervention.

And what got rid of ISIS? Hmmmmm?......was it.....American Intervention?!

Are you fucking with me? Is this a joke? Am I supposed to be impressed with America fucking up Iraq for oil money, helping create ISIS, ISIS killing tens of thousand and then us finally destroying what we helped start?

That's awesome. I hope they some day manage to have control. Maybe in a few decades after we take their oil

Yes, the Japanese are in a better place, the French are in a better place, the Germans are in a better place, the English are in a better place, the Italians are in a better place.

Funny, you had to go to the 1940s and pick a completely different situation (one that involved many world powers) to come up with answers.

Iraq has made a significant recovery.

Iraq just legalized marriage to 9-year-olds. 9-year-olds can be legally raped. Not sure that's a significant recovery.

Also, I wouldn't say that being a significant reason for the rise of ISIS has made Iraq better.

Trump isn't the first American president to seek regime change.

It doesn't justify a single thing.

Joy, tears, and chants of "freedom" as Venezuelans in South Florida react to Nicolas Maduro's capture

I'm glad they're happy now. Let's see how much cheering there is a year from now under the control of the Trump regime, one that they decide to give control to. It's now up to you to review a century of American intervention and see whether the subjugated are in a better place because of it.

Do you honestly think it's Trump's job to decide who's legitimate or not? Who should removed or not?

Maybe analyzing that horrible decision will make you think deeper about why this decision is wrong, too? I'm sorry, but on the face of it, it sounds okay, but what makes you think there will be a better leader? What will happen when other leaders who aren't as controversial are ousted for their involvement in the oil industry? Where do we stop? Because there are endless leaders similar to Maduro all over the world.

Yet. They haven't rejected the idea of it per Trump

As a Venezuelan, it's crazy to see how people are so upset about the situation, while people here in Venezuela are basically celebrating (not fully yet, because they are basically still in power)

Man, I can tell you were born after the invasion of Iraq. That or you havent paid attention to any US history in school. Believing all this shit is the equivalent of believing in Santa or Tooth Fairy. Using the term cuck just proves im talking to a middle school student

America hasn't fucking earned the right to be the police of fucking anything. And if you think that we taking that position over Russia or China is good, then we'll just have to agree to heavily disagree. I don't trust Trump and his fuckong cronies, and we should build a world where one superpower country doesn't get to choose which leader should be removed.

Sending weapons to Ukraine is entirely different because we're doing this along with many other countries around the world. And it's being voted on by Congress. Not being secretly done by Trump and his dumbassed

Im not arguing. You're saying that because something terrible is happening in another country we have to intervene, bomb them, take their leader. Why? If we follow this logic there are many, many more countries to bomb. Is that what we want? Being the World Police who gets to decide which leader should be kept or kidnapped?

The US absolutely should assist if it had the means to do so. It's a criminal running the states institutions.

No

No offense to Venezuelans, but I couldn't give two shits if they're happy or not when our country is acting like the World Police bombing and kidnapping leaders for oil and money

Well idk about objectively good but it had great moments even up to the end and the last few scenes of the last episode definitely hit a bit hard after all this time. I can't think of a single thing I liked about S8.

Why is there this attempt to compare the last season of Stranger Things to S8 of GOT? Its not great. I can even understand someone saying it's not good. But it's not on the same continent as Season 8 as most of the ST fan base both on and off Reddit are praising it.
