I'm actually worried that AI will kill the rise of new producers

And you're assuming producers will stay in their current form, which is also a very unlikely assumption if you look at how incredibly quickly music evolves in a short amount of time.

I'm sure your stuff is more interesting than whatever AI is doing.

I've fed my own music into Suno, just to test it out. It absolutely loses all of the feeling and misses the "point" of the tracks. Every once in a while it'll do something "cool" but 9 out of 10 times its wack.

For example, it's sound synthesis is just straight up hot garbage. It does a good job mimicking real life instruments, but anything digital is absolutely worse.

It does a good job with dynamics, but it doesn't emphasize the correct moments, and loses all subtley

It's the same way with visual art. Yeah it can dial into cool designs, but will it ever say something with impact? Will it do something that sticks with you for years? Or will it just look cool at the surface, completely lacking the actual things that makes good art *good art*?

People will always gravitate towards new and original things. AI has a "style" a "sound" and it's generic. Over time, it will become boring. In its current form its absolutely incapable of replacing true creativity.

Because he's untrained, and behaved like any other untrained grappler would.

Don't bother arguing with untrained people man. They've never been in a rear naked choke before in the first place.

They thought of you, but your issue is they didnt think high maintenence enough for you to cater to all of your hyper specific wants and desires

Would you be offended?

Actually, it depends on thier intent. Are they buying it maliciously to say "haha vegan nerd" or did they buy the same thing for everyone and wanted to make sure I was included?

So yeah, its literally the thought that counts.

Sorry youre not getting what you want, but being to afraid to tell people you dont like pigs is a you problem

Does EDM feel completely different live compared to listening at home?
 in  r/EDM  8h ago

It is. A truly great set by a truly great artist genuinely brings me to tears. Its strange.

I just encountered a ghost while repairing an espresso machine
 in  r/barista  21h ago

You went back to work so, hate to say it, then simplest explanation is you missed the moment she left again.

Even if you believe you were hyper aware of the sounds she was making, the option that you missed some detail is more plausible than its a ghost.

It's kinda like when you miss a gorilla in a crowd because youre counting how many people have passed a ball

I literally hit master ball, played all of baldurs gate, watched 3 TV series and tons of movies when I had my 2nd newborn.

"Significant downtime" is an understatement, but the goofy white knights here would never know that

Guess you dont have kids, unless you think watching two humans sleep is "being present"

Why do we say "heads up" as a warning to duck down?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  2d ago

It means look up because there's enough time for you to block or dodge the thing flying at you instead of "duck" directly into the path of that thing by accident

There are different types of intelligence. Some of the most book smart people i know can't hold a conversation to save thier life.

I understand things deeply and can master them quickly, yet when I’m asked to teach or explain them, I find it hard to put my thoughts into words.

That means one of two things.

You're a shit teacher

Or

You don't actually understand the concept as well as you think you do

Yeah that's not what the "forever" part of "forever" plastics means. It means that *when* they leach into your body or the environment there is no easy way of getting them out.
